Instead of searching for my original post or trying to find other related posts, I thought I would just ask again. Hubby is putting in his vacation dates and now it is crunchtime for me to decide and book. I'm trying to decide between moderate and deluxe and it is down to the wire for me to decide finally and book our ressies. I appreciate all the patience and help in my decision making process on finding the resort for our 1st WDW trip. DISBOARD IS TOTALLY AWESOME:thumbsup2

The only Mod I have stayed at is Port Orleans Riverside, and I have to say that the boat ride to downtown disney was really great!! The resort is beautiful!
And the only Deluxe we have stayed at is Boardwalk which we loved!! Because you can walk to Epcot and MGM.

Is it just you and your husband? If you have young kids, I would maybe stay at a resort closer to Magic Kingdom.

My favorite is the Poly. It is a wonderful thing to be on the monorail line, and to also be so close to the TTC. Plus I have yet to find a spot as beautiful as the volcano pool at night, with Wishes going up across the lagoon.

Sorry no pics, I am just learning how to use my digital camera!

Favorite deluxe is Beach Club. Reasons: walk to both Epcot and MGM, lots of restaurants within walking distance, great sandy-bottom pool, character breakfast, Beaches & Cream for ice cream treats, boardwalk entertainment, rent surrey bikes, movies on the beach, bright and cheerful atmosphere.

Having said that, let me also say that BC is our favorite because of our particular situation in having 2 young children in strollers. We love the ability to walk places (not having to unload and fold double stroller). And the sandy-bottom pool is perfect for our kids. However, if we were going without kids, then we'd probably stay at Boardwalk Inn again. We felt it was a little more adult-oriented and we loved having the boardwalk entertainment right outside our room. Now, as our kids are approaching the age of wanting to be at MK all the time, we are trying to rotate our trips to include monorail resorts too so we can enjoy the convenience of the monorail and MK. However, next spring we are going to try WL for something different. You can take a boat to MK from WL.

My favorite is the Swan, especially when they offer a great discount. You have the location advantages of Boardwalk and BC, plus the rooms and pool are great.

My favorite is the AKL because of the animals its the most amazing thing to wake up to girrafes right outside your balcony to me its heaven
