Hey all!

I need inspiration and I don't remember seeing a Save the Date thread. So how about it? :thumbsup2

Mine talk! Actually Mickey talks!!! you can see all the pics and read the details on the first page of my PJ.

I can repost the pictures here if you want...

Ours are just your typical magnets.

Magnets...
I glued a small rhinestone on the date.
They were really cute.

For those who do save the dates for dates that are still too far out to offically book - are you just hoping that date will work when it's time to book?

I sent mine out last week. We're 1 year 6 months out. We have a lot of friends who are in college or just graduating that we know would like to come, but they wanted to start saving for it. We did let them know that Disney may tell us our date isn't available but that's the date we really want.

Everyone loves ours and nobody believes I made them myself  They think Disney sent them out:

Thank you!! I just made them in Word :teeth: They weren't so bad to make, but very fiddly!

I have a sort of step-by-step from when I cut them out in my PJ - they took aaaaaaaages to cut out, round the corners, perforate, fold the envelopes, staple, stick on rhinestone, etc...

But, they've gone out and our guests love them!!

Just sealed up our Save the Dates to send in the mail so I thought I'd share the final results . . .

The Save the Date announcement cards:

We stuffed them inside a small envelope:

Each guest received a printed copy of our first newsletter:

We also enclosed a "Pre-RSVP" questionnaire and a stamped addressed return envelope and a few pieces of confetti. (The stamps are Art of Disney Imagination + a 3 cent stamp just in case they don't return before postage rates go up next month):

All of the above items were stuffed into a larger outside envelope and stamped with custom postage featuring the cartoon version of "Brian and Andreah":

We're so excited to have these ready to send out . . . our guests should be receiving them by the end of the week!

Hayley, your Save the Dates are gorgeous!!! LOVE them!!

Love this thread! I'm hoping to make/design our save-the-dates and it's nice to know lots of other disbrides are doing the same! :thumbsup2 Great ideas, ladies!

I took an e-pic, and added the text in Keynote (Mac version of Power Point). Then, I added the slide to iPhoto to make it a picture. Then, I uploaded it to www.zazzle.com and made postcards with text on the back. It was super easy, and I got 100 cards for about $69!

Here are mine, they're printed on photo paper, with a magnet on the back. I'll be doing follow up newsletters to make sure everyone knows what's going down.
