I feel like perhaps I should post this question in one of the overarching FP threads such as the ones started by mesaboy2 or andyman8, but I suspect having my question in the thread title may help get eyes and responses.
My question is this: Is it possible to reschedule a FP if you are in the window for that FP, assuming you have not entered the FP queue?
Here is the scenario/reason for my question. I plan to do most FP for headliners for mid-day when lines might be longer. However, on one day we would like to hit Kilimanjaro Safaris right after rope drop and before an early ADR at Tusker House. I would hope that we could walk straight there and have no wait like in the pre-FP+ days, but now I am not so sure. Due to the ride length and our ADR time, even a 25-minute standby could be a problem. I could FP Kilimanjaro for first thing at opening, but would be worried that it would have been a wasted FP if we walk straight there and find only a 5 or 10 minute standby. If I FP the ride, and then show up to find little or no wait, can I reschedule it to a different ride later in the day (same park, I know), even though I am in the window? In the alternative, if I cannot reschedule it during the window of the FP, can I ride standby and reschedule it after the FP window has lapsed?
Thanks in advance to any responses I may receive.
