Possible to book BWV at 7mth window for Oct?

We're looking at going the last week in Oct 09. I was wondering if booking a 2bedroom standard view at Boardwalk was going to even be a possibility?

I'm going to book OKW @ 11mths out jsut so we have a room but I wasn't sure if I should bother trying for a close resort to Epcot considering it would be the last week of F&W.

Not a standard view. Not unless you are extraordinarily lucky. Those have traditionally gone right at eleven months.

I have never had a problem getting BWV standard view at the 7 month window. Just make sure you do in right at the first day. I hope with the new booking window that will help you out. We've gotten for June before.

I think a "standard" room will be hard to get. There is the F&W festival in Oct and the MNSSHP. It is a busy time.

We did get BWV 2 bedroom Preferred view last October at 7 months..
and it was great !

It was worth the extra points for the preferred view !

We did do it at 7 months we had to add each day as we went -
it worked !

problem is you have 2 diffcult specifications in there:
BWVs in oct (EPCOT resorts are booked early during F&W)
standard view (books early year-round)

opt for just one of the two, & you'll have a better chance (e.g., preferred view in oct, or standard view during a less busy time).
my suggestion: try booking preferred view at the 7 month window, & waitlist for standard.
(btw, need to mention, BW view is absolutely amazing tho difficult to get. you might want to consider waitlisting for it also)

DH wants this time of year and it would split the year nicely with our other vacation in May each year so I guess it can't hurt to give it a whirl.

Two years ago, first thing in the morning, 7 month window I booked the last 2 bedroom preferred view as per MS for Oct, the week I was trying to book. Be early...talk fast.

I booked a one bed (garden/pool view) @ 6 1/2 months for 10/13-10/20; we're wait listed for Standard view. If it comes through great, if not we're still in walking distance to the F & W Fest!

I am one of those lucky people. We got a 1BR standard view at 7 months for the first week in October. Food and Wine Festival, here we come!

It never hurts to give it a whirl. You'll probably find preferred view availability - if you want to spend the extra points, and - as MinnieFan shows - you never know - sometimes Standard is available.

(You'd have more luck with Standard View in May - though I think it would still take some luck).

I wonder if this has something to do with the current economy. I know that 2 years ago I was on a waitlist for a studio, nothing ever did come through. Congratulations to you!
