Possible new Resort Mug sighting.....

Just wanted to say, that they do sell or at least did sell refillable mugs at DL park, someone said they do not sell refillable mugs in the park. We got 4 years and years ago and whenever we go back my ex and I bring them, since we can refill coffee and hot chocolate in then every time we go. It is only at the Bakery on Main St. and it is only with these cups that we have, but even today when we bring them in they always smile and ask us if we want coffee or hot cocoa, I know we have been using them for more than 5 years, maybe even longer. I never realize they were refillable but my ex said he always brought his back so now I do. We only use them for the one week a year we go, but for years and years we get our morning and mid morning coffee free in DL at the bakery, and usually hot cocoa for the fireworks free. So they do or did sell refillable cups in DL. Now that I think about it, these cups do not work at DCA so they could even be older than that park, we tried several times to refill them at the bakery there and they say, sorry no can do, but main street bakery (don't know the name) never asks a question and always refills them for free.

I saw what I believe to be the new mug coming out soon!!!

We were in MK and stopped by a cart to get a bottle of water and right next to the cash register was a resort mug.....

Same shape as the current one, only this one is white and light blue. So I looked to make sure that it wasn't one from a few years back and sure enough it said "Memories, Magic and You" on it!!!! I was also able to see characters on it, Cinderella being one of them, but the CM quickly grabbed it and put it under the register.

I freaked out, asked the CM working the cart whose mug it was and she said hers. When I inquired where she got it she said "a few CMs just got new mugs and that they were most likely already at the resorts." I informed her that no they weren't, my resort (and every resort I visited) still had the "celebrate" mug. She then got really embarrased and said "oh" and shrugged her shoulders.

I was so excited. When we got back to the resort DH asked several CMs about this mug and when the new mug was coming....all had different answers. LOL Imagine that!!

Anyway, thought I would let you all know there was a possible mug sighting!!

CM's do get different mugs than they sell like when they have a cast dinner or party. I seen a Jiminy Cricket one two years ago by a CM and he said he had received at a dinner Disney had for them. I being a huge collector of Jiminy C offered him "comfortable $$" but he would not sell it he also said Jiminy items just to hard to come by. Sometimes the carts in the parks have a mug of their own. Hollywood Studio used to have for each holiday but now is same one all year (boring) as we collect them as well. Liked the short mugs better and they held more as well

How did I miss those? I want to start rebuidling my mug collection. DH threw so many of them away when we moved from NJ....he just doesn't get it!! I miss my resort mugs, I even had one from Chef Mickey's when they were in Downtown Disney.

I like the new one and hope they are out when we go next month!

Oh throwing away old mugs (esp the Chef Mickey one from DTD) wouldl have been grounds for divorce in my house!! Or at least an extra trip to the world to 'replace' the disposed of item!!

We're leaving Sunday too, and I soooo want a new mug.

We get there the same time every year - sometimes we get new mugs, sometimes last year's mugs. And sometimes they switch the mugs during our trip.

I am excited to see the new mugs. We go over Easter but we haven't gotten a new mug since 2008 so even the red ones will be new to us. And if they red ones are more for boys that's even better. Is there any place I can see what the "old" mugs look like?

There surely HAS to be a new mug by October. I'm with PPs...I wish they would go back to more resort specific things, particularly the mugs. My DS LOVES his AKL and Poly T-shirts and would love to start a mug collection

Here's to the new mugs coming out before our trip in May . We have so many of the red mugs in our cabinet, that I am ready to put something different in there. My kids love these mugs at home...they use them for EVERYTHING.

Cool. I'm going in 2 weeks. I wasn't going to get the refillable mug unless a new one was out.

I'm so glad it looks like there will be new mugs for our August trip. Since there are 5 of us I hate buying 5 mugs that I already have and of course I can't BEAR the thought of throwing them away. My DD's will LOVE girly mugs!

We were at the World Jan. 21st through the 27th and they still had the old mugs. What happened to the poster's pics? I would like to see them.
