First, my DH was taking me to Mexico as a Christmas present. He told me to look online and see what I could find for about $1500. It was going to be just the 2 of us and probably going the beginning of February. This would have been the first adults only trip in about 5 years. Well, we found out that my brother has terminal cancer, with very little time left, so I said that I couldn't go away.

Now, I feel like I need to live my life. So, I started looking for a vacation again. I am not really sure that I want to be away but while looking around at trips, just for fun, I priced out the 4-3 deal and found airfare for March break.

So, get this.....my OOP cost would be $1327 for the 4 of us for 8 nights during March break. Plus, we would also get the $200 gift card. We would only be getting a 1 day pass and my oldest DD will be paying for her own air and park pass.

Now on to my question. Our dates would be March 17- 25. Could I count on being able to spend most days at the pool at that time of year. We just spent 14 days at WDW in July and we did all the parks and waterparks etc. we really only want to have a relaxing, hang around type of vaction so more days at the park are not an option.

Any suggestions for free or cheap things to do would be great. We would be using ME, so no car.

Unless there is a freak cold snap in Florida the pools are full of folks from northern climates.

We've been twice in March and spent most of the time in the pools.

Ham Ham....you always have the best photos.

We have never been there between about mid Feb. and the beginnig of July. I know that in Feb. it feels really warm to us 'northeren'ers' and we have used the pool then. I figured that I'm pretty safe in mid March. How busy is it then? A friend on mine went last MB and said they didn't think it was busy at all.

March will be tons warm enough in the day. Some evenings were too cool for me to swim but DD's loved it.

"busy" is a relative term.....we were there last March and to me it was packed! If there are 90 minute waits at 11pm for peter pan.....and at 8pm you can't gdet a FP for Space Mountain but the park closes at midnight.....

But they never closed a park down due to crowds. If you get there for opening and do your favourites by 11am, get FP's for later, you'll be fine.

If you are at the resort most of the time not sure it will matter. You are going for sun and warmth and I guarantee we won't have that in Ontario!

I agree - Carpe diem (is that how you say it??)
