Soarin', as most of you already know, was open for DVC and AP users last week. However I subscribe to a newsletter from allears.net, and not only have there been reports of the ride currently being open a regular basis to the general public, they were using Fast pass as well!

I am not allowed to copy and paste anything from the newsletter to this board, as it says no copying without permission. But I AM allowed to forward the newsletter if anyone wants to see it. PM me and I'll forward it to you if you're interested.

In any case definitely stop by the Land Pavillion, as it seems like there is a good chance to see Soarin' before the official opening. I was so disappointed to be going this week and just miss the member preview AND the official opening, but perhaps I'll get the chance to experience it after all. I rode the attraction at DCA, and LOVED it, hopefully I'll get lucky next week when I'm at WDW.

This is great news Marilyn! As you know I was in the same boat and was so disappointed. I haven't got my Allears yet.

Yep we sure are in the same boat. I knew you'd be there of course, but I didn't know you were hoping as hard as I was that soarin would be open. It wasn't until after I started this thread that I saw your other thread asking about it.

Maybe the two of us together wishing REALLY HARD will have a stronger effect? OK scrunchin' up my face and concentrating as I repeat this mantra...."Please have Soarin open next week, please have soarin open next week, please have soarin open next week...... "
:worship: :hyper: :jumping1:

I can confirm continuing soft opening operations on a daily basis (at present) at soar'in! :) (there now - members of my party rode it)

We saw the preview opening. The ride is better than CA. The queue is much better as are the special effects, particularly scent and wind. The queue is VERY long so they must be anticipating significant attendance. I don't know what its hourly ride design is.

The food court is getting a make over - much nicer and a single check out after you visit the various eateries. The eating area under that big open dome has also been redone. The rotating restaurant is getting a new menu.

The boat ride is also supposed to be getting enhancements. All in all it should be a welcome improvement to that end of Epcot. Although I do hope the invest in a different movie at some point.

:cool1: Us too....I was so bummed to miss the DVC and AP previews. Wow...more great news today!!! We're leaving tomorrow afternoon.

We just returned, and they were announcing on the monorails that the ride was open. However, the day we went to ride it, it was closed for "technical issues".

Have fun!!!

Last Tuesday, April 19 the Land was open for park guests to ride Soarin' & the boat ride. It was a soft opening & no guarantees for how long. We got to ride Soarin' twice that day :)!!
