"Best use"? Well, probably the gratuities. Are your gratuities already paid for? Beyond that - excursions. Basically, anything you purchase onboard (drinks, adult dining, souvenirs) counts.

If you have OBC, that's what's used first. Once it runs out, gift cards you may have applied to your onboard account, then any cash credit (if you put some on), THEN your credit card.

Further clarification: if you have multiple OBC (from TA and/or from DCL, or any other source) any non-refundable OBC will be used first, then the refundable OBC.

Thank you, this is really helpful information. My sister and I are cruising together. Our on boarding spending will be vastly different, do you know if they can split the bill based on who made the charges?

Yes, charges are summarized on the cabin bill by person. Some things are put on per person automatically (gratuities); excursions are billed to the person going on the excursion (even if you book excursions for everyone in your group, they get split out to the individual level), other charges are based on which KTTW card was presented for payment (drinks, shopping, etc.)

You can each have your own form of payment (each of you have your own credit card on file for charges to your onboard card). If you do have an OBC, these are typically applied to the first name on the booking so if you are sharing, you may have to work that out.

We enjoy playing Bingo onboard, and that gets a little pricey after a few games, so it's a good use on onboard credit imo.

Renting bikes on Castaway Cay is a must-do for us. It's my favorite thing to do on the island. It doesn't cost much, though.

Gratuities, a wine package, a photo package if interested in that (maybe less so now if no character meets), spa appointments, Palo/Remy upcharge fees, Cove Cafe coffee.
