I felt compelled to start this thread after reading and posting to the one below about LEO/FF and whether or not they should be required to attain a certain fitness level. There were a couple comments about people not posting positive things about these professions, and after thinking about it, I realized that I really haven't seen a positive thread!
I'll start...6 years ago, I was on a solo road trip along a pretty major highway. It was March, and the roads were slippery because it was a sunny day and it had snowed the day before. My car did a 180 and flipped twice before landing in a ditch. After I was taken to the hospital (I was fine; not even a bruise), a young police officer came into my cubicle and started taking down my info. He was so kind and gentle with me, and his tone of voice was so soothing. He even took out a picture of his little boy and told me all about his fight with a certain disability. When he was finished getting his information, he even offered to drive me home in his cruiser; my family was vacationing on the other side of the country and the neighbors I would have called were with them! I will NEVER forget this officer and how kind he was to me; I really wish I had gotten his name.
