DS9 and I were at Epcot on 7/17. While in line at the US Pavillion to grab some burgers and fries, a plaid vested CM waked up in line with a family of four. One of the woman looked really familiar, but I couldn't place her. It was the kind of moment where your brain goes "I know you, but I know I don't know you. " Then I quickly realized it was Mandy Moore. She was in line, just like everyone else. The CM went to find a seat and Mandy ordered and paid for the food. It looked like she was there with her parents. (I know they live locally in Longwood) She smiled at DS9 and I and said a quiet hello. The Cm's preparing the food seemed much more interested in her than anyone else in the restaurant. She sat at a table right next to us. We saw her in lines for several rides later in the day.

I think it's fun seeing celebrities in The World. I was there with a friend in October 07 and we were in line for The Great Movie Ride, the woman behind us asked if we watched American Idol, and then asked us if we thought the woman in the next row ahead of us looked like Melinda Dolittle. Well sure enough it turned out to be her! She ended up "following" us to Tower of Terror and my friend and I had a quick laugh that she was fans of ours :rotfl2: .

I was also in Epcot with my parents in Feb 07 and saw the actor who played all of the umpah lumpahs from the latest Willy Wonka movie outside the America Pavilion with his family and a plaid vest cast member. That was fun, but my parents didn't believe me when they came out of the show.:confused3

I used to live in Orlando, and on one day trip I took, I was behind Space Mountain walking towards Toon Town, I saw one of those plaid cladden cast members leading one of those WWE wrestlers and his family toward Space Mountain. While I was down there I also walked past Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake walking towards House of Blues for a concert (I forget who was performing but supposively one of them climbed on stage at one point of the show and sang along). My sister was also down there recently and ran into Paris Hilton. Even the celebrities love Disney World!

MOORE MAGIC: Singer/actress Mandy Moore visits the Magic Kingdom -- July 17, 2008

MOORE MAGIC: Actress/singer Mandy Moore poses with Stitch, from the Disney animated film "Lilo & Stitch," July 17, 2008 at the Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Moore, who has starred in films including "A Walk to Remember," "Saved!" "Because I Said So" and "License to Wed," spent the day at Walt Disney World Resort with friends and family. It was a homecoming of sorts for Moore, who grew up near Orlando, Fla. before beginning her show business career. (Gene Duncan, photographer)

Mandy Moore used to live in the Orlando area. The principal of the school where I taught a couple of years ago was her on location educator. From what I've been told, she is very sweet and visits the Orlando area on a regular basis.

That is so cool that she waited in line like eveyone else! :goodvibes

We saw Richard Dreyfuss in the 80's with his family waiting for the Backlot Tour. He too stood in line like everyone else and was nice to the couple of people who approached him.

We rode Cinderella's Carousel during a P & PP in August with then-presidential hopeful Dennis Kucinich and his hot wife.

In April 2006, we were awaiting to be seated at Crystal Palace. In fact, the photo in my signature is from that very night. My wife and wondered as we gazed upon the oceans of people how celebrities negotiate the masses.

After my "first" visit to the buffet, I sat down at the table and immediately noticed a familiarity with the man at the next table (my DW and DD had not yet returned). I know that I been very rudely staring at this gentlemen when our eyes made contact - immediately causing me to recognize him... Actor Kevin Kline. When my DW and DD sat down my DD commented that the lady with him looked like the girl in Drop Dead Fred. Upon second glance I recognized her as Phoebe Cates. It turns out they are married and brought their kids. And best of all, they put up with the lines and masses as we normal folk do.

My DW and I are not the type to be "starstruck" so we made no attempt to contact or eexpose them. Both realized we recognized them and graciously smiled. Phoebe Cates told us that our DD was beautiful.

Here is the photo. I think Mr. Kline was eyeing his bill.

I love Many Moore! She's a good role model! I saw Nsnyc there a while ago! They were all nice.

I was with Handy Manny, and she stopped by to get a picture taken. She was very nice.

Just got home tonight from a week in the world. It was great.

Anyhow, on Friday (July 18th), we had lunch at Tutto Italia in Epcot. About 15 minutes after we sat down, our waiter whispered that Kobe Bryant was coming in to eat. He did, and sat with his wife and 2 daughters not that far from us. He's about as big as they come in basketball; I'm just not a huge fan of his. It was a step up the celebrity meter, though, from Wayne Brady, who we saw there in '04.

In the 80's we saw Michael Jackson :scared1: jump on the back of one of the floats during one of the parades.

PICTURES people!!!! That's what we really want to see! We thought we saw Daryl Strawberry a few years back, wish we had the camera out then.

We saw Christina Aguilera and her husband in Disneyland on Feb. 07. We thought it was her and made a comment that she looked just like her, and then a week later we saw pictures of her in a gossip magazine at Disneyland. So, I am guessing it probably was!

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon were staying at the Grand Floridian last week. Did anyone happen to spot them around Disney world? Wish I was there that week. I'm a huge Mariah fan.:thumbsup2

I think there is already a thread about this, but w/e. The thing on Splash Mountain was pretty full and I volunteered to sit next to a stranger. The stranger I sat next to happened to be Drew Barrymore! I had no clue until the big drop, and my sister paid me $20 to scream and put my hands up on the drop. So it was "Hey, you're Drew Barryahhhhhhh!" It was pretty cool, although we didn't have a camera when that happened.
