We take the laid back approach to the ports of call, meaning pre-booking excursions isn't a high priority. On the past cruises we have done, we usually end up getting a really good tip from the servers the night before the port on how to "see the island/port from a non-tourist point of view". For example: when we were in St. Thomas, we took a 45minutes cab ride to the other side of the island to Magan's Bay- National Geographic voted it one of the top ten beach in the world. We went and our cabbie was awesome, he had us back in time for the ship to leave and that day was absolutely perfect. SO, I thought well I would pose the question to all the current readers and experts on these two ports of call....What would you do on Cozumel and Grand Gayman that is not listed as an excursion? I was wondering if there are any hotels that offer a "day at their beach" for a fee?
