We stayed at Royal Pacific which is a BEAUTIFUL facility for one night before switching to the Swan. We had an Entertainment Rate of $99 per nite - this was right after they opened up.
My complaints? A few....
Check-in line was HORRID. Took over 45 minutes of waiting in line to get checked in.
Room was smoking room - I had reserved Non. Maid was still cleaning room when we got there - even though they gave us a key to that room. She was running the air cleaner fan though. I complained and they said they could switch us in a while but we wanted to go eat, etc and figured for one night I could survive a smoking room. Then they left the air cleaner in the room to trip over so we had to haul it down the hall till we found a maid.
There I should have valet-parked - too far to haul stuff in and nearly impossible to find a parking space. (Swan was such a quick walk in).
I put most of this stuff off to the fact that they had only been open about 4 weeks. I figured it would improve as time went on.
We are already booked for 12 nites at Swan in 2004, but my dd wants to go back to Universal. I won't do that w/o staying on-site for FOL. So I will be attempting to do flights etc so we can get maybe 3 nites in at RP, HRH or PB. As long as I can get an Entertainment Rate!
