1. Is it true the deluxe rooms are all on the 5th and 6th floors?
2. Do all deluxe rooms have balconies? Which ones do/don't?
3. What is the commute time on the boats to the parks?
I am not the expert so I can't answer #1 for you. The answer to #2 is no - there are very few rooms at PBH with balconies. I found that the commute time on the boat is very short - more time is spent waiting for the next boat to dock then in travelling to the park. It seemed like a 5-10 minute trip at most.
We had a deluxe room on the third floor last summer. I think there is a certain wing that has all the deluxe rooms. No, not many have balconies from what I could see. The boat ride seemed very short to me - maybe 5 minutes.
Very few of any of the rooms have balconies. The 4 deluxe rooms on the top floor of the west wing have the nicest balconies. However, they are part of Villa suites, so they are not available as single rooms unless the suites are not reserved. Of the balconies, they also range vastly in size. You have large balconies that have tables and chairs on them to small Juliet balconies, where you can open the doors and step out, but they are too narrow to really sit on.
You can request a balcony and they will put it in your notes, but the PBH will not guarantee a balcony.
The boats run every 10 -20 minutes. We have never waited more than 10 minutes for one. The ride from dock at Portofino to dock at Citywalk is about 5 minutes.
