Portofino bay tips and food ideas

Planning a trip in August to Orlando and staying at the portofino bay for 7 nights ... Going with my husband and 2 teenage boys...is the beach pool a fun place to hang out and do they play beach tunes or just Italian music... Also any ideas on dining around the area , we will have a car .... Also ideas on lunch places nearby.... Is the food at the pool outrageous?
Are there any restaurants in the area that deliver?
We enjoy seafood, and Italian food.. We already plan to eat at Columbia and also Bahama Breeze as we really enjoyed them last time we were in Orlando. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Beach pool is very nice. They play different music there. It is fun to hang out out. They have games for the youngsters to get involved in.

There are three pools at Portofino. Beach pool is more lively. The Villa pool and the Hillside pools are quiet.

They have a place called Spendido at the beach pool. The food from there is good and not terribly priced. There are regular sodas and beer and cocktails. Servings sizes i.e..fruit Platter and nachos are big enough to share. There are waiters and waitresses that will come to where you are sitting and get your order if you want something. They do if I'am not mistaken add a 18% tip.

There is Sal's at Portofino on the piazza. They serve pizza, salads and sandwiches. Sals pizzas are very good.

Mama Della's is also there at Portofino. This is a Italian resturant. We have eaten there and the food was alright. Not cheap.

There is a Italian opera type singing on the balcony overlooking the piazza every evening. It's nice to get a gelato and listening to the singers in the evening.

If you like deep dish pizza there is a place we always go to called Giordanos on Sand Lake road. It takes 45 minutes for the pizza to bake so we call ahead and our pie is almost ready when we get there.

Some suggestions that are not far at all are The Hash House A Go Go on international drive. Portions are big and the food is good.
