Sorry if this has been posted anywhere, but I’m reading that the Starbucks at Portofino Bay is permanently closed. Is that the case? Will another coffee shop replace it?

Starbucks is closed. The location that replaced it has a pretty basic menu and holds itself out as serving Starbucks, but is not a Starbucks. I was there the other day and it was dirty inside even though it had just opened for the morning. If possible, I’d hold out until arrival at City Walk or the parks to get coffee.

We just got back from a stay. Construction is mostly gone from the piazza, but is very much present throughout the property.

The location has a sign out front saying it serves Starbucks. It was ok. It was not on the level of one of the Disney in-park locations that hold themselves out as serving Starbucks. The menu was very, very bare bones. Do not go in there expecting any seasonal flavors, specialty drinks, etc. After the first morning, I just waited until we got to City Walk or the parks to get coffee.

We’re here now. The new coffee shop is Caffe Espresso. I had a vanilla latte, and to me it was just as good as Starbucks.

Does anyone have an updated Club Level offerings information sheet? I would like an idea of what they offer each night to see if it would be worth splurging for my 3 days? Thank you

I was also looking for updated menus. It looks like the menus posted are for Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.

We'll be there Thursday-Sunday.

Are there updated menus for Friday and Saturday nights? Do they rotate the menu?

The pools are open but construction is still going on around the hotel.

Yes, the Mandara Spa will be missed, but there isn`t another onsite, not sure where the closest one is to UOR.

I was under the impression Beach pool and the small one out by the walking path are done. I don’t think Villa pool area has been completed.

Okay yes here now and can confirm that Villa pool area looks like this

Adding that while the Beach Pool area looks fantastic if you stand at the towel stand and look out, behind the towel stand they’re still working.

It’s ugly but the work is quiet and non disruptive.

The pool heat being off, however, is very, very disruptive.

Our club rooms have always been in the Villa Wing for all past visits. I don't want to deal with the scaffolding or plastic covers.

Couple other work related notes:

Our room is a club room and the windows are indeed covered. We don’t care because we’re not view people, but I get why others would.

The central piazza reopened while we were here but there’s still work happening. Still, huge improvement in how it looks vs even 2 days ago.

The harbor area looks fantastic and while there’s a tiny bit of work going on, it looks like just touchups. It looks like that area is 99% done.

The beach pool heat being off Thursday seems to have been some bad luck as it was back on yesterday.

I hadn’t seen this noted elsewhere: Many of the guest room hallways inside are being worked on, there’s paintings missing, plastic on the rugs, etc. it’s again not super disruptive but it is ugly.
