The wife wants to go for a weeks break to the above resort.
It has a couple of themed hotels, she is looking at Hotel Caribe.
The themed hotels include tickets for the theme parks which is meant to be quite good.

I am really just looking for any comments/experiences you may have had when visiting the resort.

Thanks

We stayed at Port Adventura's Hotel El Paso a couple of years ago, it was our first time to Spain and we had a great time, the theme park is not as big as WDW/Universal but the kids enjoyed it and the water park was great but watch out for the extra charges i.e. if you are on a sunbed when they come round you are charged for the hire for a day, you are charged for the hire of large rubber tubes, but they are available at all the rides free! so be careful it can work out an expensive day! but on the whole we would go again and the hotel in particular was very good, clean, great amenities and the food was excellent although in a buffet style it was always fresh and a good variety even for a fussy eater like youngest DS

We love Porta Ventura. We stayed at the Port Ventura hotel for a few days and it was a good base to the beach and we also drove to Barcenlona and went to the hard rock cafe and did the open air bus tour.

The theme parks are open late in the summer and it was great going on the rides at midnight as was much cooler and the atmosphere was electric. We had a lovely dinner in the posh restaurant at the hotel and there are also loads of restaurants in the parks.

Let is know what you decide
