I was wondering if anyone has used them at the campsite with the pop up tent. I am planning a trip during spring break with my kids. I have 7 children they will range in age at the time of the trip 13yrs-1 yr. My only concern is potty time at nite. I dont want to wake all of them up to go to the bathrooms with one child. I also cannot allow my oldest ones to watch the lil ones or walk to the bathrooms alone since my 3 older ones are developmentally delayed. I have been looking on line at the portable potties but how do you take care of the waste. Do I need to request a spot that has sewer connection to drain it? And how does that work. Sorry just want to get all the info i can before I make the reservations. If this goes well I was going to make it an annual trip. My husband cannot make it for the whole week because of work. He only gets time off during christmas and we are planning this during spring break.

You are thinking of using a Porta Potti. Yes, weh ave used the tent and it works well for late night visits.

HERE is my web page about them which includes links on their use and emptying.

You will not need a sewer site, you can carry the tank to the comfort station and dump it in the toilet, or just pick any unoccupied sewer site to dump.

First off, kudos to you for taking your 7 kiddos to disney. I have three (10,3,1) and it is tough sometimes with the little one running all over the place :lmao: and can't imagine wrangling seven :worship:

We just got a pop up and used it for the first time this weekend. I purchased a thetford potty (the smallest one...you may want to get a larger size, since you have more people using it). Got it at Walmart for about 60 bucks. We just used it at night. Worked out great! Very easy to empty...you just separate the base and bring it to a toilet to empty. Not very messy either! We were camping with my parents so I used there trailer toilet and sink to empty and rinse. It would probably be easier to go to the waste station to empty it, that way you would have a hose to rinse it out!

Best of luck! I would definitley recommend the potty though...super convenient, easy to empty!

Have fun :)

Thank you so much for the info. I am glad i asked now I know it will be worth the investment to do this. And make things easier for me to be bale to take my kids on this trip. If all goes well I would like to make it an annual thing.

And thanks for the link to your website it was very helpful. Its actually the only site I have seen that has an actual map of FW. Which I have been looking for. Thanks again. :thumbsup2
