Portable Perks book at DLR

We'll be visiting DLR in May, but we aren't staying on points. Is there a place to get the Portable Perks book even if we're not staying at the resort? We could print the info out before leaving, but it would be easy to swing into a resort and grab one too. We just don't want to count on that if we can't get a copy. Thanks!

They have a DVC office there sort of behind Disneyland Hotel. You could probably go in and get one there.

Every time we have been there there is a bored looking fellow sitting at a DVC desk in the lobby..kinda across from the gift shop..and he has the perks books.

When I was there last time, the perks for DVC had just come out. There was a mention in the book that the perks only applied to DVC members, and only if they were staying at a DLR resort. It said to show both a DVC member card and resort room card to get the discount. Staying on points was not required, but staying at a DLR resort was. No one ever asked for the resort room card though.

Maybe someone who has been there more recently can say whether or not this language is still in the perks book or not.

I remember that from Last May, but in January I didn't really look at the book. And since we were staying onsite I forgot about that. However, I never had to show my room key to get the discount, just my DVC card.

It only took showing our DVC member card to get discounts when we were there a few weeks ago. The booklet was in my back pocket when we went on GRR and ended up getting soaked... so I just asked for a new one at the kiosk on Paradise Pier and they gave me a new one, no problem.

Thanks everyone! We are not staying at a DLR hotel (my husband works for a hotel company, so we can stay there free. We'll save our points for WDW!) Anyway, we'll see about getting a booklet. If they let us use the discount great, if not, we won't be hurt. We'll just be excited to be there.

The guides at any DVC kiosk will be more than happy to welcome you home & give you a portable perks booklet. Just ask them. I never had to show a room key to get the discounts just my membership card. I was staying off property last time I was out there too. There are all sorts of discounts for the Downtown shopping area and most of the restaurants in the parks too.

You can view them under the Member Perks section of the Members Website. They list WDW and DLR Perks. Some examples are % off dining, $20 off APs...
