New Year's Trip - What Should I Know??

We had a similar experience at Epcot on NYE! Got there around 5pm. Shopped, watched the 6:30 fireworks, fun Biergarten dinner, rode some rides, and rang in the new year in the Morocco pavilion. Back to our room at the Swan by 12:25. Great time!

It really was one for the books and so much easier than I thought it would be! We were at the Swan too, btw. Had a great stay.

Yeah, we were in Epcot too and it was pretty chill, relatively speaking. That was the coldest NYE I've personally experienced, which I think probably had an impact on the mood/crowds, on the margins. Definitely more fun when warmer!

I did NYE once before covid and loved it! Plan to do it again when my kids are older and can make it to midnight. Each day will get progressively busier with it being the most crowded on NYE. If you’re staying at a resort with a view of fireworks I highly recommend watching from there instead of inside the park. Will save you hours of travel time back to your room. We had a theme park view room at the contemporary and it was perfect.

I would make lightning lane selections and expect you won’t get much beyond your initial 3 for NYE, maybe some less popular rides. Wait times will be very high for most everything. Including lines for the bathroom so plan that out well. Make dining reservations so you have a quiet place to sit and eat, quick service will be very busy with little availability for tables
