Are portable DVD players allowed on planes? We're taking a flight with lots of stops and layovers. The DVD players will sure help pass the time for our kids if they are allowed!
They are allowed, however must be turned off during take off and landing. You may want to check with your airline to see if any of the seats have "power ports"... its like a cigarette lighter. I know some airlines have them in select rows/seats. I usually book that seat so that we don't have to use the battery. Also, bring the charger along and you can plug in at the airport.
And you must use headphones. (Yes, I know this sounds like something everyone would know, but.... I got on a plane with a family who seemed a little shocked that we ALL didn't want to listen to Free Willy)
