LEAVING NEXT TUES FOR DISNEY FOR THE 2ND TIME THIS SUMMER. IM SOOOO EXCITED ALTHOUGH THIS TIME ITS BUSINESS.
WE HAVE A DENTAL SEMINAR AT THE CONTEMPORARY FOR 3 DAYS BUT WE GET TO GO A FEW DAYS EARLY.

HOW IS THIS RESORT DOING NOW THAT IT'S UP AND RUNNING AGAIN?

I STAYED HERE 6 YEARS AGO AND IT WAS NICE.

ANY GREAT THINGS I CAN TELL MY CO WORKERS ABOUT THIS RESORT.


WE WON'T BE GOING TO A PARK PROBABLY SO ANY GREAT THINGS TO DO IN THE EVENINGS.

ANY INFO ABOUT THE RESORT WOULD BE HELPFUL

We were there from January 3 - 13, 2002. This was my second trip and his first. We had a blast (I LOVE RIVERSIDE).

Here are great things.
#1- Boat to Downtown Disney (Easy to use and relaxing)
#2- Sister resort to POFQ (meaning can use the serpent slide)
#3- Yummy Food Court (Great prices, and yummy Fried chicken. - Also fresh sandwiches and fruit & cheese platters in the deli cases)
#4- A relaxing atmosphere
#5-Fun boat rental
#6- Take a surrey bike ride around the resort to see it all.
#7- Boatwrights is very good for breakfast
#8- Well themed rooms in both sections ("Yes, you too can pretend to be Scarlett O'Hara" or Tom Sawyer if you'd rather. )
#9- Fun pool
#10-Nice, and comfortable lounge
#11-Has the nicest resort staff & guests, that I've seen so far (even with visiting nearly every resort on day trips).
#12-REFILLABLE MUGS!!!
#13-Very reliable bus service (as per what we had)
#14-Trundle beds available for families with kids
#15-This year my family is going to Wilderness Lodge, but I secretly crave going back to Riverside, since I loved the atmosphere so much.

There is little I can add to the previous post, only to say we also love this resort, and stay there every trip! We were there 3 weeks ago and were sursprised at how empty the parking lots were! We were actually checked in and in our room by 9am! We have never gotten in our room before 3pm ever. The buses weren't crowded, and ran frequently. Don't get me wrong, we were pleased by this, but I can't help but wonder why. The parks were packed, so I wonder if maybe more people are opting for off site accomodations. The service was wonderful, and, as usual, our room was perfect...exactly what we requested. The main pool was pretty busy in the evenings, but we practically had the quiet pool to ourselves. We had a wonderful time, and I am already planning our trip next summer with our grandkids! Hope your stay at Riverside is as relaxing as ours was! I know you will have a great time!

You'll love this resort. About the evenings...the lounge at POR is great fun. From Wed.-Sun nights there is a really fun guy at the piano named Bob Jackson. He is hilarious and he does sing alongs. Get there by 8:00 or you won't get a seat.
