Port Orleans Riverside Question

Hi,
This will be our second stay at POR (October) and we stayed in the AB last time. We loved the landscaping and had a fantastic time but were thinking that staying on the Mansion side this time is almost like trying a new resort lol. It looked beautiful but we never actually got to check out the rooms. My question: Can anyone suggest a building or room number that would give us a view of the river? Also, we're non-smokers so a ns room would be a must. Thanks for the help.

We stayed in Magnolia Terrace on our visit to POR. It was a non-smoking building. It was not in very good repair during our stay (last November) with paint peeling in common areas, stuff like that, but now that it has been refurbished I'm sure it is fine. There was a gazebo in front of the building and a quaint walkway. We faced the river but were in part of the building that was fairly far back so we couldn't see the river very well. I don't remember the room number--your best bet would be to request a river view and I'm sure you'd get something that has that.

Remember asking for a Mansion room is never a gurantee. We have stayed in all the mansions. Oak Manor is our favorite. POR is in the process of re-doing all the rooms and buildings, but imagine most are copleted by now. We'll find out in October.

Have you ever stayed in Alligator Bayou? If so, which did you prefer? MB or AB?

P.S. We'll be there in October too and we're from Mass too. About an hour from Boston. : )
