Hi everyone. We are trying to decide where to stay for 2 nights, no parks involved, but definitely DTD. How are the boats to DTD? Should we stay here or POFQ for closer/ faster boat times? TIA
15 is Preferred.Just got off the phone from making our ressies for November. I called last week for preferred room quotes & they are already gone today. So I booked garden view & requested AB buildings 15 or 17. Don't like the mansions.... Just stayed there in May. Just so happy to be getting a vacation at all & to be spending it at POR & WDW.
I read that sometimes Mousekeeping won't pick up tips unless they're clearly marked. I planned to put the tip in an envelope each day and write Mousekeeping on the outside. Will this work or should I do something else?

No reason for you not to do online checkin (just make sure the bookings are linked on your reservations first) but the arrangement of separate payment cards for two guests in the SAME room would have to be done by the front desk I believe, after the initial room payment has been made. This has only recently been reported to be possible though, and I've not tried it myself. Andre
But if I do online check in, wouldn't my CC be attached to all the rooms then?

I wouldn't put Mousekeeping on the envelope. That's a term that's used on Disney message boards, plus not all housekeepers speak English.

I've been hearing terrible things about the buses at POR. Are they really THAT bad? I'm used to the bus service at CSR (which apparently has the best bus service?). I'm planning on requesting a room in the Magnolia section.
It's weird that I haven't seen those screens at any other resorts and I've stayed at numerous since my last stay at Port Orleans in January. I wonder if it annoyed other guests as much as it annoyed us![]()
They had a screen at the Grand Floridian last February.
Hmm but I think housekeepers are aware that they are referred to as Mousekeepers because of that little card in every room that says "__________ is your Mousekeeper" or something to that effect. Maybe I am wrong though.
Checkin is done per room isn't it? Andre

I have seen the cards with the housekeepers name but it didn't say Mousekeeper. I don't believe they refer to themselves as Mousekeepers. That's an internet thing.
Greetings and Welcome. Today, I serviced your room and hope you are pleased and comfortable.
Should you have additional or special needs, please touch Housekeeping on your phone.
Rooms are regularly serviced from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Thanks for staying with us!
The card copy that I have says (in six languages):
But generally I think they understand the term Mousekeeping, especially if you also say "thank you for servicing our room".
Andre
laRight, but I was replying to someone who thought the card said Mousekeeper. Yes I think most of them have heard the term Mousekeeper but they don't call themselves that.
