We will be staying here Aug 3 - 5 for a quick "drop off our daughter for DCP" trip!!! How are the boats to DTD? how long s the wait and ride?

TIA

really? that is great to know! they automatically deactivate though on midnight of your checkout date correct?

They aren't linked to the stay, not really. There are time periods you can buy them for. If you have the "length of stay" mug, that should actually be 14 days.

When they activated us for length of stay, they activated them for that and when I got to the machine it said the expiration date was 8 days after we were leaving. So I used mine for the week after I returned to work.

Ok, this is my first stay at POR...and I need a little guidance. Boatwrights, yay or nay? I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on the food. We have a reservation there for the night by we arrive, but I am wondering if I should change it.

My husband and I loved it! Especially the jambalaya and corn bread!

The ride is about 10 min and the wait wasn't too bad . 0-15 minutes.

We booked a Royal guest room with River view.....how far will we be from the bus stops and food court. Thank you

We are here now and on Friday night, boats from Port Orleans Riverside took about 15-20 minutes to DTD (even though they announced 25 mins). The wait for the boat was 5 min each time we arrived, but that all depends. We left DTD at 10:30pm (prior to the last boat leaving at 11). When we left, there was a rush at the dock to catch the last set of boats. We went early expecting this. The ride is nice as you get to see PORS and POFQ along with other areas along the way. Fun. We chose the boats over driving due to the crazy road and DTD parking lot construction currently going on. In fact, some of the magic from DTD is lost in all those construction walls up--but progress must happen to make things better! We had a great time eating at Raglan Road at DTD!

Depends on where your room is located - the Royal Rooms are situated in two very large buildings. Best case to food court would be 250 yards, worst case about 480 yards. Same distances for the South Bus Depot (which would be your closest stop for a River View Royal room).

Was all of the rooms at por excluded from free dining offer?

Yes, if you mean the general USA offer.

There have been a few PIN codes sent out offering it to specific individuals by email, and some overseas offers (e.g. UK Disney Travel Company) but otherwise both POR and POFQ are excluded.

Just curious we will be back Labor Day week. Doing a split with Pop. Anyways I was planning in storing luggage if our room was not ready at bell services. I noticed that this area is indoors, yet with open doors ( did not seem that air conditioned). It didn't see, like this area was air conditioned.

Seeing we might be shopping and buying extreme heat perishable items ( chocolate, makeup that melts), I need to find out what the cool storage is like. Is it a fridge only for. Small items. Or can I ask that my one suitcase with this stuff be kept in A/c?.

There's one for POFQ and POR, and one for SSR and OKW. (At least, I think SSR and OKW share one.)

At POR, it picks up in the marina, which is right behind the main building.

Has anyone done on-line check in recently? I have read that there are expanded choices now? Wondering what anyone's recent experience has been....

Fridays choices were upper or lower floor and corner room. We're booked in river view already so not sure if we have many other choices than that lol.
