BTW, I selected top floor, corner room. Anyone think this is good or bad?

Perfect idea! Hope you get it.

I went in and did the modify on-line check in thing and voila!...it showed up...YIPPEE!!...WOOHOO!!! I was able to customize colors for all of us...and, yes, my DD also wanted purple. However, I'm so thrilled to finally have them I'd been happy with gray! ....Now if I could only get FASTPASS to work.... It

While Magic Bands are available to any POR guests, so you should be able to customise them (and re-doing Online Checkin often helps reset that system), FP+ is different. It currently needs to have valid tickets attached to the reservation, which is where your problem is.

POR's campfire as of yesterday is "down" for refurbishment.

I'll see if I can find out the dates - and also more about the seating at the new POFQ firepit area, as it looked to me a few weeks ago as though there was an area about the right size for benches, so maybe they are still to be fitted?

The key here I think is to make sure the tix are actually linked first... I don't think magic bands and tix have to necessarily go hand in hand with each other... i.e. you could have a room only ressie and still have the magic bands assigned to you...that said I must admit I know nothing about Travelocity -do you get separate tickets? That is how my UT tickets came as well as the ones I got from the base. I punched in the number on the "link tickets page" and they showed up as linked. If you see them next to each member of your party's name then you're linked...if that is the case you should have the option to make FP ressies...or at least soon. Point being after this long winded comment... If tix are in fact linked... Your FP window will show up.

Thanks. I think that is my problem. Unfortunately, my travelocity tix will not link.

Thanks. Once I check in and exchange the will call tix voucher, I will be able to do my fastpass+ then, right?

Just did on-line check in and booked all of our FP+ options. I must admit, it is a bit daunting being a complete newbie to WDW but I think I picked some popular attractions with great times. I was a bit bummed that I couldn't pick some of the shows at HS on the Friday we are there but I heard that shows are only available with FP+ on the weekends.

So, in 60 days we'll be at WDW for our first ever vacation. We can't wait. Now to get the plans in place to tell the kids in a few weeks!! :cool1:

It is allowing me to customize my MB, but I will wait awhile to see if they come out with more colors. Anybody hear anything about more colors being available?

I was thinking about doing FP+ for fantasmic, & & BOG lunch, but does that mean I am stuck with FP+ for everything? I don't want to use it for the rides.

We took advantage of the Magical Express pick-up from Downtown Disney. We checked our bags through to the airport, took our backpacks, went and ate lunch at Wolfgang Pucks, had a drink at Raglan Road, went to D Street one more time for the girls and then the bus picked us up right near Raglan Road. If we weren't able to check our bags all the way through to the airport, we could have checked them in to the luggage room and they would have been brought to DD and they would have been there for us. We were able to talk with the CMs who were at the bus stop. This new pickup spot is a test to see what guests think of this and it is only available to POR guests for now. We thought it was nice and would do it again. They said they had gotten only positive feedback so far. DD would like to expand it to all resorts. However, according to the one of the CMs who I believe was a ME manager, they do not have the facilities to store that much luggage there right now---not even close. Interesting facts he told us--on a slow day, 5,500 people leave Disney on ME. Yesterday, 11,000 did. He said DD really just has no idea that they will greatly have to expand their luggage storage. There are a lot of changes coming to DD in the next few years---more stores, parking garages, more restaurants, etc.

Buses were fine--I don't think we ever waited more than 10 minutes.

If anyone has any questions, ask away.

Any info on whether they will continue test into Nov. for POR guests. Our final lunch is at Raglan Rd. and this would be perfect.

I don't think more colors will be avaliable any time in the near future. They have testing and roll out to worry about. AND you can buy all kinds of things to decorate them, so there isn't much motivation for Disney to add more.

The BOG lunch is separate from the FP+ system so it won't affect anything else. You can use FP+ for whatever you want and still use FP when you get to the parks. If you have extra FP+ while doing your planning, you might as well use them for something, maybe an extra special ride. If you get to the park and decide not to, you can change the FP+ to something else on the fly or cancel it.

Last word we heard from Andre, if I understood correctly, is that the testing will just become the roll out as they add more resorts. In other words, POR should continue using magic bands permanently, unless of course there are issues with the system.

I think he also said POFQ would be added in a month or two.

Mostly likely, yes, as you will by then have physical tickets within the Disney system (perhaps linked into your Magic Bands?) rather than outside vouchers.

Not heard of any other colours as yet, no. I would have thought they would keep the free offerings to a basic minimum, and try to sell add-ons instead. No harm in choosing now anyway, you can always go back and edit them again later if you need to.

At the moment, the DTD Magical Express test is due to finish at the end of this month. I assume they'll then decide whether to invest in the infrastructure (such as luggage storage space) that would be needed to roll it out to the other resorts too.

For anyone who was experiencing only gray as a MB choice, all the colors popped up yesterday morning!

I thought for sure that I saw a picture of a set of MBs that included a purple one. But when I search for a list of colors, purple is never a choice. This is disappointing as it is my favorite color. :sad2:

Me too!! :confused3 That's why I was going to wait.

They seem to be shipping out shortly after you complete your order. So I don't know how you could change it.

the only thing I saw on a weekend was Illuminations. Perhaps I need to go back and look. I'm in Mk, Epcot and Dhs on weekends during our trip.

How did you get booked at PoP with a family of 5 when your youngest is already 3? My first trip dates (Nov) were after my youngest turns 3 and I couldn't book pop at all because of us being 5. Then we changed our dates to Oct. for dh's work and she will still be 2. I could book POP then. Changed to POR fd anyways though for such a small cost.

We have her in my parents' room because there are only two of them. If they don't end up going, though, we have to book two rooms just for her one tiny little body that could still easily fit in a pack'n'play. :( I understand that it's because of fire codes, but I wish there was just a smidge of wiggle room for little ones. I suppose that's why they use the phrase "fire codes" though and not "fire suggestions"... haha...

Try sending an email to Disney telling them your desires. Let them know you will still have a magical vacation at Pop, but had your heart set for POR with free dining and your family of five. Be gracious. This is what we tried and they replied by phone in the affirmative.

Email link is under help/contact us on Disney sight.

And thank you so much for this idea... We will definitely try it. So glad it worked out for you! POR looks like a beautiful resort, and it's one we haven't tried yet. Here's to hoping! :thumbsup2

WDW sells band covers there is a purple cover based on the Haunted Mansions wallpaper. It's been shown in some pictures.

I want to apologize ahead of time for these questions, I am sure they have been answered before. Just way to many posts to read them all. I did go on the MB info thread but it was closed. So I'm going to ask here.

1. Will the testing phase for the MB still be going on Oct 18th - 23rd?

2. Can we still do FP+ and FP?

3. I ordered the Photopass+ and should receive it this week. (I assume it is
the card with lanyard). Can they link it to my MB?

4. If they link it, Will it just be my band or on all who are traveling with me?

5. Can the PP+ card be used also with the MB?

Again sorry for all the questions. I am planning this with another couple and want to get all my questions answered before I give them any info.

Any help would be GREAT!!
THANK YOU!!!

Yes for MB testing. The Photopass comes with a voucher you exchange in Disney for the card and lanyard. Not sure about linking it to the MB though.

I hope your parents go. Better yet hopefully you get into POR. POR will be our resort from now on until my youngest can 't fit in the pull down bed! She is still sleeping with us yet though :)

Ummm, you should of read the quote first. I was asking about the DTD ME pick-up test.:3dglasses

Thanks. :) It really is a great set up they've got over there. It'll all work out in the end, one way or another!
