I'm only up to page 36 reading this thread....I was wondering when we arrive at the airport and take the Magical Express....does it just stop at French Quarter and Riverside, or does it stop at other resorts as well?

Thanks!!

ME stops at multiple resorts and it has rarely been the same each time. ME is based on need for that day and not on any set route..

In addition, the bus driver chooses the order, so you will not know until he closes the door and announces it.

What building to request? I had a package booked at CBR but cancelled it... Just looks too big for me. I am going to book if free dining comes out like everyone is anticipating. I really don't care for the look of the alligator bayou rooms.... Any POR experts can help me out? ;)

Well, if you're not interested in AB, your only options would be Acadian House and Magnolia Terrrace unless you book a royal room.

Ok- are these options in a good place? I have 2 boys so no real reason to get the royal rooms.

I have been recommending guest to do the check in also to save time. But As andre has mentioned I am one to say dont check all the tick boxes at the bottom about room request specifics if you have already done faxed or verbal requests.
Thanks to both of you. I have verbally contacted them and will be doing the fax-so thanks for your help. I am all for saving time :thumbsup2

Ok, thanks. I typed mine up last night. :)I sure hope we get some pixie dust. pixiedust: Even if we don't just being there will be awesome.
Someone who's a TA was saying they were told by Disney they couldn't send anymore requests via fax but that they could call them in.

I am driving myself crazy trying to figure out which room category I want. Does anyone have thoughts on it? Are the more expensive ones worth the money? I am going out there for the Princess Half and it will be a solo trip. Do I want a preferred location, so that I don't have to hike so far before and after running? Do I want a royal room because it is awesome and I love princesses? Do I want to just not worry about it and save as much money as I can? These are the conversations I have myself and this is why I haven't made a reservation yet! Gah! What to do?

Why not? :confused3:
hey keep putting on the website "for those testing"

Tests have been ongoing for a while, presumably with phases of adjustment between each new test. The last major test was an "end to end" validation for selected ALK and Contemporary guests a few weeks ago. I've heard talk of some Beach Club guests being asked the trial the MagicBands more recently, but not FastPass+. You can't ask to be a tester, you can only join if Disney select you (I assume they are managing the trial group demographics carefully). See http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3120253 for lots of discussion on the testing.

My own gut feeling is that it would be a good idea to fully roll out MagicBands first, and get that process stable as a replacement for KttW cards, before even starting on FastPass+. IMHO if they try to do everything at the same time that's just asking for trouble - but hey, what do I know, I'm sure there are cleverer people than me running the roll-out.

There are a lot of factors there that are really up to you. We went with a garden view Royal Room since it was a middle of the road expense in comparison to all the options and was a decent distance to buses and the main areas. I strongly considered river view, but when we got there, we ended up having a slight river view anyway, and it's not like you sit in your room and look out the windows all day (like in the deluxes where you have a balcony.) It was gorgeous to walk out our front door each morning and see gardens and fountains and then the river! Especially if you are going for a short trip for the Princess Half, I would say to go somewhere middle of the road cost-wise and save your extra $20-$30 per night on something fun (like souvenirs at the EXPO!!) On that note, we are considering registering as well. Are there package rates on the RunDisney site, or do you have to call? Do you know which resorts are included in the discount? (Obviously POR is!)

Couldn't have said it better myself!:thumbsup2

I wouldn't bet on that...;)

Ditto this. I think I already told my story several pages back, but my card got switched with another card the first night of my trip by accident in the lounge.

I didn't notice it. I successfully went to breakfast and made two purchases, with my pin code, until I was denied access to Epcot the following morning because the card didn't match my finger scan. The CM held up the card and for sure, it was not mine.

So what are the chances of someone staying in the resort had the same 4 digit pin code as I did. It is very possible..... the manager did write it up for the IT department. This was just the second week in June.

I read another resort thread that POFQ washer/dryers now took credit/debit cards for payment, does anyone know if Riverside does as well? Thanks.
