Excellent, I'm glad they are bothering to do this - especially when there is no real financial need to differentiate them from one year to the next any more with the Rapid Fill system. Andre
Great news about the new mugs. DH and I we're wondering that the other day.
How does the new rapid fill system work? Is it already added to our trip total or is it extra? Where can we refill?

I am going in June/July with my family of 4 (including myself) and we all drink coffee each morning. I do not want to spend a fortune on coffee each day and I am concerned about the in room coffee makers. Has anyone been recently? How much coffee do they give you in the room and do they give you more each day? OR should I just get the refillable mug? So many decisions! :worried:

They give you enough for 2 cups per day. You can ask for extra though. And every time we have asked for extra, we end up with more coffee than we could drink during our stay.

Thank you! I also have a question for you, or anyone who has stayed before, how long are the travel times to the parks generally? I stayed at Kidani Village in 2012 and the wait was short and there was virtually no people at our stops. I've read that the bus stops at POR tend to get busy. What is your experience?

The bus to the parks wasn't too bad. We tried to get there 30 mins before the parks opened. Coming back was a different story. We were packed in like sardines.

Here now. MK (15 mins) / EPCOT (10 mins) / DS (10 mins) / AK (20 mins). Coming back is Always packed, but the service has been adequate. Had better experiences at Coronado and Caribbean Beach, but it's comparable. Definitely busy, but wouldn't keep me away. Great resort. :thumbsup2

I asked yesterday besides the obvious we can make more money aspect what was the reason they switched to RFID cups, and FC CM said they had a fair share of the cups walk at other resorts. I mean if you were devious enough you just had to have a pair of small scissors or cutters and you could remove the little anti theft tab if you want to call it that. So now they make you pay for the soda and the cup now. This is just one Senior CM telling me this, but I can believe it.

Love the new mugs!! So cute! I loved the last design so much, but having at least 6 of them I'm ready for a change :rotfl: wish they had come our for our last visit. Just missed them, but they'll be there for August trip!

My thoughts exactly! We have a couple sets of the last ones, and a set of the design before that. I'm ready for new ones! :-)

How detailed of a request should I make when I actually make the reservations with my TA? Alligator Bayou, ground floor, near transportation and a quiet pool please. :-) what options are you given in the form of requests with online check-in?

I liked the coffee but that powdered cream is gross! Can u buy fresh cream somewhere??

I know that they sell milk in the gift shop (I couldn't get FFmilk which is my choice, but they did range from whole to 1%). It wasn't outrageous. I bought a quart and it was about $2.79. The half gallon was also under $3 but I knew I wouldn't need that much.

I don't do powder or liquid creamer either. I keep shelf stable half and half cups at work and I'd bring those if you can't do actual milk.

I get them at walmart and they are reasonable in price and don't have that plastic taste that creamers do.

When I first made my hotel reservation I did not add any requests. Should I just call back and add them, or just wait until it's time to fax a request?

TIA :)

We'll be at POR on 2/20 (so close!) and of course I'm having packages sent to me at the resort because I procrastinated on ordering several things that we really need for the trip. I have the mailing address and have sent everything correctly. The two items will likely arrive during our trip. What is the process for getting the packages? Do I need to stop at the front desk or bell services and inquire? Do they just send them to the room? I do not have a room number at this time but I did write the arrival date on the package.

Whereabouts are the POR bus stops located at the parks? Are they separate buses for Riverside and FQ when leaving the parks usually? Or combined?

Wow this ? again lol. No worries. Well this is a hard one to answer, actually.

because usually they drop you off in the first available spot they can find. Pick ups however are different and usually fall to the Deluxes are closer and then the moderates and lastly the values. Id say if you don't need google map shots of all the stops then its not too far of a walk. Maybe a 2-3 minutes from pickup spot to security checkpoint where bags get inspected.

They are combined POR/POFQ busses except for MK.

Who has actually had a child sleep in the pull-down bunk? We are looking at booking a trip for this December. There will be five of us, including three kids ages: 5,5,4.

Has anyone else put five in POR room with 2 queens and the pull-down bunk? Did you regret it? Last time we went, kids were 4,4,2 (nearly 3yrs) and we just got connecting rooms at POP. Looking to save a little bit of money this time and not get two rooms, but wondering if we will regret having all of us in one room.

We stayed in Feb. 2013. Family of 5, 3 boys ages at the time 7, 9 and 11. We needed to set a schedule and have them take turns sleeping on the Murphy bed, while the other 2 shared the queen bed while my wife and I shared the other queen. Going back in October 2014 staying on same room since it worked out so well!!!!
