Well, we got a bit of pixie dust last night upgraded to Royal Room with a Garden View from what I purchased which was a standard room with a standard view. Wow! The pizza is pretty good here. I wasn't expecting much and it actually was good.

Congrats!! I had dreams of getting that upgrade, in january  but now with roofing going on in Royal Buildings, I don't think that's going to happen  I'll just be happy if I get my request for mansion section! GV booked.
Won't be long now!!

Glad you were well taken care of my the Pixies of POR!pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Your POR Pixies are freaking awesome!!! I wanted to express my sincere gratitude to them...would you please pass along to them how much I appreciated the pixie dust we received while there. They removed all my worry about my dd carrying golf clubs to and from. Our trip was truly magical and that was the start of it. I love this resort now and one of the main reasons was how wonderful the staff was!

We've really been blessed on this trip. And I'm really liking the FP +. But I gotta say the MDE app is really unreliable. Both days we've been here it's been mostly unusable.

I meant to say "by no my"

But still very glad you were taken care of.

Hi, people! Just booked a standard room at POR for 4/2-4/9. I am stupid excited over this. I booked a standard room through hotels.com, and requested building 16, 17, or 85. I'm hoping we don't have to do a huge amount of walking to get to and from the buses and food court with our little ones. Do you think it's pretty likely the request will be honored even though we only have a standard room?

Those aren't preferred rooms so it may be. They'll take it in consideration. I always request Mansions and have never been let down yet.

Just decided to book POR for July. Can't wait. We've stayed there twice and miss it so much. Last trip over Thanksgiving we rented points and stayed at AKV's. While it was beautiful, we really feel that POR is our home.

I would make a request to be close to the bridge over to main building or food court.
We'll be arriving a few days after you leave. We requested mansion section close to Old Man a Island bridge. Didn't book Royal Room.

Congrats! I think the room assignors try hard to meet people's requests. 2 out of 3 stays we had our requests granted.

Has anyone just made a request by calling Disney? And not faxing them? I won't be able to get to a fax machine before our trip!

We felt the same when we stayed at AKL. Meh. But at POR it's beauty everywhere you look.

We are a family of 5 who have always stayed at POR and love it here; however, now that my boys are going to be 11, 11, and 16 this summer there is no way one of them is going to fit on the Murphy bed! Is there a way we can get a cot in the room?

We are going to have to move to a Deluxe resort to be able to fit otherwise... And we sure do love POR!!!

No, sorry, they don't supply roll-away beds any more. I guess your 11 year olds are both very tall then, as my daughter was fine on the murphy bed and she was 12-and-a-half and fairly tall at the time too (5' 2.5").

You could always bring an inflatable single mattress, a lot of people do that and they fit into the room very well. The resort would supply bedding if you ask.
