We are certainly a busy bunch here - and the amazing thing is that it's pretty much all on topic too!

Pete said that he's never seen a resort FAQ thread in the top ten before, which is odd as we were there about 9 months ago too (that was about three threads ago though, LOL).

The irony is that the regular 'top thread' (Jess's fabulous "Frump Style" College Program thread) has only just now made it to 200 pages (and almost 3,000 posts) in its nine months from 20th Jan - while in less time we've gone through two 250-page threads and we're 25 pages into our third already, and we've had nearly 8,000 posts so far since mid-Feb! Wowser! (I guess they must have a lot of lurkers over in that thread and the stats are based on page-views not posts?)

From a thread about November check ins looking for magic bands and fast pass +, I found out how to do the Be Our Guest lunch FP+ reservation. Log on to your Disney MDE account, then from your reservation, hover (not click) over the link to either checkin online or modify checkin. This will show at the bottom of the screen the 12 digit number you need to log on to https://beourguestlunch.disney.go.com/ and get your FP+. Since I was able to do that, and I have no access to MB and FP+, I can only assume that this will not have any effect on other FP+ you want to reserve. Someone with a September or October checkin may be able to tell you otherwise.

That's correct - at the moment, the BOG FP is separate from the other FP+s. Booked for October.

We stayed at POR after our Dream cruise, September 19-22. We booked a standard room and made no requests. We checked in at around 10:30 am, after waiting in the longest check-in line ever. It was a long, very slow-moving line. I guess because of the magic bands, but I don't know for sure.

We had no issues with our magic bands. They worked just fine getting into the parks and opening our room door.

We were upgraded to a Royal Room, in Oak Manor, first floor on the inside of the front U, facing the courtyard...and it was ready at check in! It was a lovely room. My DD says it's the prettiest hotel room she has ever stayed in. She really enjoyed the twinkling lights on the headboard at night. It was in a good location, just a short walk over the bridge to the marina, with two bus stops to choose from -- South Depot in front of the main building and East Depot behind Magnolia Bend. It was really convenient for watching the movie at night, as they set that up right next to our room in the courtyard. It was a bit of a walk to the main pool, and very close to the quiet pool and laundry. I think it was probably one of the best possible locations in the entire resort as far as being equidistant from just about everything.

However, after being at Kidani in the first "pod" from the lobby for the first half of our stay, POR required a TON of walking. The place is beautiful, but huge.

We had no fridge, which was a bit inconvenient, but no surprise. I did not ask for a credit because I felt that the room upgrade and the location we were in made up for not having a fridge.

We only ate in the food court twice and I'm sorry to say that we pretty much hated it. The selection is great, but having to wait in separate lines for everything was ridiculous. By the time I got DD's food, my food, dessert, paid, got drinks and condiments and found a table...well, all our food was cold and I was pretty annoyed.

The buses weren't bad. We never waited long and got seats on every bus, going to and coming from the parks. We took the boat to Downtown once. It was a pleasant ride, but our captain on the way back took absolutely forever to load the boat and get moving. It took almost an hour from the time we got in line Downtown to the time we stepped off the boat at POR.

DD really enjoyed the pool, the slide, and the organized pool activities. I appreciated that there was abundant shade in the area.

We're arriving on Nov 16 and I just checked and can book FP+ and can customize my bands! Granted, one of my party members are not on my FP and I can only customize 2 (of 6) bands but, YAY!

I ordered water today and I also included my husband's name (whomever name the reservation is under) and the check in date. Go back to page 25 of this thread and you will see my question which is similar to yours.

It's a November thing, the systems (especially FP+) have not been extended to operate that far as yet. I very strongly suspect that the system will be extended into November and beyond within the next few weeks, but I really can't say anything more definite just now...

I've been able to customized our MB and make our FP+ choices for our stay November 20 - 30th ~ yay!!!

Still no option for BOG lunch though but we've got a dinner ADR so I'm okay with that.

While we were there, buses were not shared with POFQ for Magic Kingdom. The MK buses stopped at the South Depot last. All other buses stopped at the South Depot first. MK went West, North, East, South. All others went POFQ, South, West, North, East. I think I got that right, lol, all the directions can get confusing.

I was able to make a oct 7 lunch res at BOG at a 12-12:20 window using the link and entering in my magic band number. There were dates available for 10/10 also at 1:30 or so. I don't get any confirmation number, and it does not show up on the my Disney experience app, but I plan to print out the reservation as proof. I was even able to order the food ahead of time, which won't be finalized until you pay for it there. I had been checking this regularly, and the link didn't show up until this wk, so it
Looks like they're only booking 2wks in advance. It did not seem to affect the other fastpass+ selections for that day. Anybody experience the fastpass+ lunch service in person? Does it count towards the three selections that day, and is BOG accepting these res made on the separate site?
