Port Orleans Riverside (location help)

Well, it is only 12 more days until our trip to Disney. This is a really special trip for us due to health issues that I had this last year and half. So this trip is in celebration of my 50th Birthday (belated by a year) and our 30th Wedding Anniversary Celebrations and I truly want to make sure everything is just right, so it is my hope someone can help with a question about Port Orleans Riverside.

Our travel agent booked us a "waterview room with a king size bed" at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort. I have been reading on trpAdvisor other travel reviews and see there are a lot of different buildings and that some of the waterview rooms with king size beds, (travelers have stated) the view is blocked if you are on the first floor.
So here is my questions
1. would you be able to suggest a building and floor that would provide the best view?
2. Also, is there a to insure we get into a special building?
3. Also, is there a way to check and make sure we are going to receive a room with a king size bed?

We have stayed at the Dolphin and the Contemporary in the past so this time we are tyring another resort.:

You pay extra for a king size bed so that should not be a problem. As for the view I personally would ask for the Mansions and a river view, water view can be a swimming pool which can be noisy and not something I want to look out on.
Also remember that at POR and the other moderates there is a walkway or balcony that goes all around, not private ones. you enter your room from the exterior like a motel. Asking for a higher floor would also increase your view potential.

We paid for waterview and got a swimming pool view. While this didn't bother me, it did my DH so next year he said we would not be paying extra. So make sure you request a river view.
