Cant wait, our first stay at PORS is coming up in just 19 days. This will be our 4 year as a family going to WDW. Any tips or info on PORS would be greatly appreciated !

Have a great time! We are looking forward to our first stay in 60 days!!

try the fishing hole and the campfire :)

If you have a DD and she wants her hair wrapped, there usually is not a wait there.

We have taken our family to this resort 3 times and have our next trip booked for 2011..... we love it and haven't wanted to stay anywhere else since we arrived in October 2006. It is just so peaceful and the lodges (we stayed in the Alligator Bayou section as we are a Party Of 5) are a nice distance from the main areas which (in my opinion) make you feel that you are not in a big resort. The quieter pools can sometimes be empty (we were there in August 2009 and often had the pool to ourselves). The kids do love the larger one though and the water slide is good fun.
One of the things we particularly enjoyed was the leisurely boat ride down to DTD - the pace of things at this resort was something we fell in love with - much quieter than the All Stars which had been our first experience of on-site accommodation.
We thought the food 'court' was ever so good (particularly the breakfasts as we just love our pancakes and waffles - you don't get them back home so me and the kids had them every day.... we were on vacation.... my DH was very fond of the yoghurt parfaits with the different cereals and nuts/berries etc.
Our children never went in the arcade but that is because we never pointed it out to them (bad parents!!!) :rotfl2:.

The gift shop was a good size and the bakery was great for a quick snack (free on the DP) when we came out of the pool - the carrot cake is to die for!

Hmmm - beginning to think that I sound like I spend my vacation eating - thankfully with 3 kids and all the walking in the theme parks I burnt off all those calories (and if you can't enjoy your food on vacation when can you!!!)

Check in and check out was painless and we always found the Concierge desk ever so willing to assist.

The kids loved the wildlife walking back from the car park / bus depot - we saw squirrels, lizards and even a snake.... watch where you tread....:scared1:

The rooms were of a decent size and I liked the fact you could draw the curtain between the sink area and the bedroom.

All in all we haven't found any reason to stay anywhere else.... this will be our last time though as our DD will be 9 next year so that I believe is the oldest you can be for the trundle bed.... BC next time if we can afford it....

Have a fabulous trip.:thumbsup2
