They haven't started any AB rooms, so we don't know. As soon as they are completed and someone manages to get pictures, you know Andre will post them here and on his website.

Yeah that doesn't start til sometime in December, right?

We just got back Tuesday evening from a 15 day stay. We had a wonderful trip at POR. Stayed in AB building 16. We did not pay for a preferred room but the location was still very nice. Close enough. This was our favorate Disney trip and we have been on 5. All of which have been 2 weeks long. We relaxed and did not let the little things get to us. We will definately stay at POR again but never without the meal plan. Our first 3 nights were before FD started so we went with a room discount. Thought we would like the freedom but hated the expense. Way too much money for food. And that is with only eating CS.

We have always done 2 week stays at POR (2 years ago we did 15 nights). We did the free dining first and tacked on room only for the last night. Meal credits end midnight check out day. We always had enough credits left and only paid for breakfast OOP on departure day.
This year we initially booked 14 nights but had to reduce our stay to 7 nights because ds did not want to miss too many classes. . Therefore we will be taking a second trip in January for 9 nights before his spring semester classes begin.
We love Alligator Bayou but I would love to get a refurbished room with QS beds. My dh and ds are both tall (over 6').

Does anyone have a close shot of the TV/AV input area on the new refurb rooms?

Here you go...

See, this is what happens when you raise your children to be responsible...don't worry about DS he will get his priorities in line. ;)

End of October. Building 36 should be the first to be completed, around 11th November. AB buildings 36, 37, 38 and 39 should all be done before Christmas.

Andre

Thanks, I wasnt sure. Also thanks for the pic of the AV inputs.

Hee Hee Hee! My 2 oldest boys are 12 and 14. I can't even imagine this happening one day. Responsible? What's that? Oh where did I go wrong?:headache:

Can't wait!!! :cool1: So last year we stayed in building 16 and loved it. We don't mind walking but how far out are these buildings from the food court? I like to fill my mug at night after the parks and heaven forbid I should have to walk through those peaceful, beautifully landscaped paths. :rotfl:

There is nothing farther than a brisk ten minute walk to the main building.

Fifteen minutes leisurely, enjoyable walk if you are in the mood.

We have been looking forward to the public transportation while at WDW, but after all these poor bus reviews, maybe we'll just use our own car. *sigh*

You should give it a try before deciding to use your car. We have always used Disney transportation and never waited more than 15 min for our bus at POR. If you leave a park at closing time you need to be prepared for a long line and a potential wait, but they usually have several busses waiting or in route. For us it still beats driving our car. You may not like it, I know some people really have bad experiences but I say give it a shot and see what happens. Whatever you decide I hope you have a great trip!

One of the things I enjoy the most when I go to DW is the transportation. The car can sit in one spot for a very long time while I enjoy transportation that's included in my hotel room charge. Also, nothing beats hearing the announcements on the bus such as CBR when it tells you your area.
