We would like to see YeeHaw while we are there at the end of October, but I have a conflict on the two nights we could make it work. On Thursday, 11/1, we have reservations for the 5:15pm show at Spirit of Aloha at the Poly (while kids are at the Neverland Club) and we wanted stick around afterwards to catch the water pageant and Wishes from the beach there, but those are around 9/9:30. On Friday, 11/2 we will be at DHS and plan to watch Fantasmic! (it's at 7:30pm, park closes at 9pm). How feasible would it be to still catch YeeHaw Bob after returning from either of these nights. Thursday we may not want to stay up too late since we will want to be at DHS early the next morning (trying to do Jedi Training), but on Friday we may be tired by the end of the night and it's the last night of our trip. Maybe a change of pace on the Friday night would give us another burst of energy and still able to enjoy the show. We'll also have our boys, who are usually ok staying up late, and if they are still up for it, would catching YeeHaw Bob for the last half of the show still be ok for them? I'm not sure if his shows are "cleaner" for the earlier part or if the entire show is most-age-appropriate.

Thanks for any feedback.

He performs Wednesday through Saturday night; his show hours and content are the same each night. Even if you get back late, get off at the main bus stop and roll through the lounge. People will loiter out in the hall and linger until he completes his show.

Considering Bob is the choir director for his church and he is performing in a family oriented environment, I am not sure why you would consider his entire show not being totally "clean."

But he does work up quite a sweat; he is like the energizer bunny; he never stops. Even when he takes a "break", he still poses for pictures, talks to all the guests, and hawks his CD. One night and you will be a big fan.

I am 51 years old and on my annual solo trip, I see him every night. Check him out on youtube.....

Here are some pictures from last week.

We booked pref room & got building 14 parking lot view.

I have to tell you, before the refurb, it was mansions or nothing. Magnolia Terrace and Oak Manor were my favs. Now I think the rooms at AB are so beautiful.

I traveled with a large group last year and fell in love with Acadian House.

We have a rather large group going again next year and I would not mind staying in AB. The rooms are just beautiful!

I ordered a case of water from Walmart before our July trip. It arrived at POR two days later...9 days before we checked in. They let us know it was there when we checked in and then went to get it. My only regret was not ordering 2 cases.

does walmart deliver? If so, how much? and which one? Thanks for any info you can give.

I love looking at pics! Thanks for sharing! I am trying to decide where I want to stay at Riverside.

I tell you, it is not easy. Every area has been my favorite each year.

We will be there Sunday - Saturday, and on Wednesday we will be at Epcot with PM EMH and checking out Saturday morning. So that's why only the Thursday and Friday nights were even possibilities to see him even with our current plans/reservations that end by 9ish both of those nights.

I haven't seen him perform before, so I have no idea what to expect at all. I didn't realize that he is the choir director for his church. I know that sometimes watching performances here at home (for example my DH and his improv performances) that are put on for the length of 4 hours that time of night and a break in between that the first part is sometimes 'cleaner' than the 2nd part after a break, with the chances of less kids the further into the evening you get. I didn't know, that's why I asked.

I believe the refrigerators are standard in all the rooms....as for the coffee maker, they take the pods and make 2 individual cups of coffee side by side. I personally have this same type of coffee maker at home and I buy Senseo pods for it. They are much more reasonable than the K-Cups and really just look like a round tea bag (only coffee is inside). Here's some info I found online:

Pods:
Pods can be used with a variety of single serve pod coffee makers including: Senseo, Bunn, Melitta, Grindmaster, Hamilton Beach, My Invento and Cuisinart. The pods do vary in size so please use the chart below to make sure they are compatible with your brewer.

Grams Per Pod are as Follows:
Aloha Island: 9-12 grams ***I've used this brand before too.
Baronet ESE – 7 grams (45mm) *** this has been my favorite
Baronet Monster pods: 12 grams
Baronet: 8-12 grams
Black Mountain Gold: 9 grams
Cafejo: 9 grams
Dallmayr: 7 grams
Emeril's: 9 grams
Fratello: 10 grams
Godiva: 7 grams
Java One tea - 4 grams
Java One: 9 grams
Lavazza ESE – 7 grams (45mm)
Lavazza: 8 grams
Melitta Tea – 4 grams
Melitta: 9.5 - 9.7 grams
Organza tea – 4 grams
Reunion Island: 9.5– 11 grams ***I've used this brand before (good)!
Senseo Tea – 4 grams
Senseo: 7 grams ***I've used this brand before
Solera tea: 4 grams
Timothy's: 9-11 grams
Wolfgang Puck: 10 grams

Some of the pods have less in them and if you like a stronger coffee you may need to double up (esp if you are using a bigger travel mug). I've purchased the brands listed above in red from amazon.com and have been very happy with them. The Baronet brand, Cinnamon Hazelnut has been my all-time favorite coffee. Although, if you bring your own coffee and coffee filters, you can cut the filter down about 1.5" and it will fit inside the pod holder just fine. I do this at home when I'm out of pods and I just want one cup.

Thank you , Thank you for the info!! :goodvibes I have no clue what pods were. I use k- cups. The Cinnamon Hazelnut coffee sounds wonderful.

Hubby and I both like are coffee mild. I am debating on buying a refill mugs. Having coffee in the room is plus in the mornings. :rotfl:I am getting old the idea getting up and walking to counterservice first thing in the morning does not sound to hot.

That is perfect timing if you allow an hour to get back to the resort, you will catch him at the height of his show.

I do remember he does a version of "she sells seashells by the seashore" that goes on for several verses, which if not done carefully, could produce a few surprises!

Enjoy!

I have preferred booked for June 2013 and I can't wait! Thanks for all of the great comments and pictures of the refurbed rooms!

Mommykds

nice pictures! I am hoping for bldg 14 or 15 when we go.

enjoy your trip!!

Thanks for the pictures! Did you have 5 people in your room?
:goodvibes

Yes we had me, DH & 3 kids. The room was tight but don't spend alot of time in the room. We do however like to spend time at the resort (pool, arcade, foodcourt, Bob Jackson's show, shopping etc) so POR is perfect for that!

Man, now I'm homesick. Great pictures.

According to my ticker, still 107 days until we check into POR-AB for a 10 night stay. Once that ticker gets below 100, it will start to feel a bit more real.

Keep the photos coming.
