Hi! We will be visiting Riverside for the first time in August. We have a regular garden view room and were planning to request AB section. (2 adults, 3 kids 2,8,11)
I have two questions...we are having 2nd thoughts, and thinking of changing to a Royal room (will be the last time we can stay there as a family since our youngest is 2). So if you had to choose would you pick royal room or AB?

Also, if staying in AB, what building should we request?

Thanks for your input! Getting excited and loving reading all about the resort:)

Well I am sorry to say our res system won't allow 5 occupants in POR royal themes. But if you want AB and a preferred placement you could always ask for building 14 and ask for river view. It has a really nice view from second floor towards the river.

I'm glad :goodvibes

Wow, I remember my first 'proper' desktop *huge* Funny, I was doing a survey the other day it asked me what year I got my first cell phone: there were 11 options; each year from 2012 down to 2003 or pre-2003 I was like 'try 1993' it was like a brick, a very big brick

Yes I agree with your pm!

We are a family of 5 and don't have the option to stay in the mansions as a whole which includes the royal rooms. We love AB but I would love to be able to stay in the mansion section sometimes.

If I were you, I would take advantage of the royal room this year since it is your last chance. When we were there in March, the royal rooms were opening 2 days later and we peeked in the rooms. They are very pretty and the headboards look fun for the kids.

I would definitely stay at least in the mansion section if you are planning on coming back and can also experience AB another time.

I see your following our stay there again next year! Good to see you back.

As of right now, that's where it stands....we'll see as it gets closer. I'm here off and on...very busy time of the year. :) I usually read everything but don't always respond lately.:upsidedow

I would definitely choose Royal too as it will be your last opportunity - we are going in December and are SO excited. The rooms look gorgeous and I am really looking forward to being in the mansions. We have requested Oak Manor as it is nearest to the footbridge and according to others who recently stayed is a few minute walk to get to the main building :)

Can someone tell me if POR has multiple mug filling stations? Or do I have to go to the food court every time ? Thanks in advance:goodvibes

I cant wait. I got the Royal room for my 2 lil girls! Does anyone know if I can request a location and which one should I ask for?

I think there may be 1 at the bar at the Ol' Man River swimming pool too. But I may be mistaken.

We've just changed our reservation from Coronado Springs to POR for November due to a possible influx of Cheerleaders at Coronado.

We've got a waterview room - I like the look of the Mansions - are waterview rooms available here?

Yes. They may be of a fountain or the pool; or a far off view of the river.

I agree with everyone else; do it now with the RR while your youngest is still under the age of three and does not count towards the room occupancy.

Then you will have to go over to AB next trip.

Enjoy!

Incorrect; note their youngest is under the age of three, so does not count towards room occupancy.

The Fire Protection Code states it is assumed in case of a fire, that a child under the age of 2 will be carried by one of the adults and not take up the path of travel to the exit.

Therefore, they are allowed to stay in the mansions one last time before their youngest turns three.

Whoops my bad, sorry I missed that age. If I was on the phone with someone and they said it to me I would have caught it. I make mistakes also. But I see so many posts. Human Error.

That being the case, the royal room would be the best choice. If you want a better location as in closeness to the Main Building, try for Oak Manor, perhaps a river view level. That would make your experience very magical for the youngsters and yourselves.

Andre, love the picture of the lobby! Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to see it in person! I'm kind of fond of the blue ... I think it helps make the other colors "pop" more. :goodvibes
