they did it to get the blood out from underneath the nail and relieve the pressure. Its still very sore but no longer throbbing. The procedure only hurt for few seconds.

Its slowing down my planning and research for our trip & it looks like I'm flipping everyone off with the banadage I have :lmao:

Awesome :teeth: :lmao:

Glad the pain is subsiding

Hi - still hoping to get some feedback thanks :goodvibes
Hello-thinking of staying at POR next year and requesting a RGR in Oak Manor. It's difficult to tell looking at the map - which is the best type of room to book (river view?) for access to main building, pool, and bus stop (I'd prefer South depot stop since it's first (sometimes after POFQ?) pickup. FIL has some mobility issues so looking for something convenient (walking wise). TIA!

The Lobby Refurbishment work is now pretty much complete, with the carpeting (in the form of two giant rugs) now laid and all of the desks opened for guests. A few items of furniture still need to be added, and the kids' TV needs to be moved and queue lines set up, but otherwise it's basically done.

On first view, I'm not completely sure if the darker blue in the carpet might be one colour too many though, but I'm sure it'll grow on me.

The main lobby at Port Orleans Riverside has re-opened today after its two-month refurbishment... well, almost. At a fairly late stage they decided to add an extra treatment to the floor tiles, which took a few days to apply and harden. This must of course now be done with the previously-completed section of the lobby too, so they will shut that side off again for a few days while the work is completed. Then the furniture will be put back into place.

I don’t know what’s happening about the carpet though - I know that originally a new one was planned to be put down, but it looks like the new floor is all tiled to me.

But it's looking very nice already, this was taken an hour ago (Tuesday morning, 26 June):

We are going to be staying in the POR-AB rooms this Saturday. I am wondering if anyone can give me an update on the sheets in the new rooms. I have never had a problem with itchy/scratchy sheets at the WDW resorts but am now worried that the new rooms may have ithcy/scratchy sheets. Can anyone give me a report? Do I need to bring my own sheets? My skin is very sensitive and I do not like getting an exfoliation treatment when I am sleeping. Thanks!

If we are staying at POR , can we park for free at the parking lots adjacent to the parks or do we still have to pay the parking fee. I have never had a car onsite and have always taken the buses. Thanks :thumbsup2

When you check in at POR, they will give you a parking pass. This will allow you to park at the parks for free.

Ouch re you and your poor finger! Wishing you a speedy recovery. I understand how you feel re the bandage. I had hand surgery the end of March which required 7 weeks in a cast that encased my thumb except for the tip and the rest of my hand except for the other four fingers up to about 4 inches below my elbow. But the surgeon also worked on my middle finger and that was all bandaged up for the same period of time. Fortunately for me the cast received most of the attention and it was only a few of my friends who came up with witty comments such as raising an eyebrow, shaking his head and asking "Overuse, Kathy?" That was from one of our pastors :rotfl:.

Nice too funny, if we were aloud Id call you something in good humor. But this is a family site lol. But that gave me a good chuckle. Thanks.

I'm glad :goodvibes

Wow, I remember my first 'proper' desktop *huge* Funny, I was doing a survey the other day it asked me what year I got my first cell phone: there were 11 options; each year from 2012 down to 2003 or pre-2003 I was like 'try 1993' it was like a brick, a very big brick
