Just one more sleep .... by this time tomorrow we will be switching planes in Baltimore & in Orlando at 10:15 whooot

Just returned from WDW. Had such a great trip. Perfect weather. Port Orleans Riverside was beautiful and the Royal Room was fantastic. CMs were so sweet - and seemed excited about the new rooms. Anyone going soon is so lucky!

We're leaving tomorrow evening around 6:00 p.m. from West Tennessee. We hope to drive the entire way in one shot and arrive at POR around 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Wish us luck!

Luggage is all packed and in the van....our carry-ons are mostly packed except for few last minute things that will be packed in the morning. Now we wait :rolleyes1

Thanks for the chart. I have walked by 14 many times and stayed in 16 so I believe your two charts are switched at least for the two I know. And at least in walking dist.. Some of your numbers just do not compute compared to others like the comparison of 27 and 39. This, though should give anyone unfamiliar to POR a starting point. You took the time that no one has done before. Thanks!

I do have a stop watch I can lend you if you want to time all the routes. Andre would love you for it.

I did have the columns switched and missed #18. I just made the corrections above and added a "total" column.

Now that looks right on and if you don't mind I am sure Andre will want to copy that. Again, thanks for all the hard work! Enjoy your stay!

What a beautiful photo, thanks for sharing it!

Because I am a planning junkie (dork) and Andre planted the seed, here is my list of AB walking distances from Google Earth...

I plan to use this during the check-in process to find the best room for my family.

Sorry for all the posts...I think I have all of the kinks out now. I had to correct a few pool distances for the 20's.

Hey there everyone, I just wanted to catch up again.

I just got this from our recent trip, does anyone know if this is a pin code at the bottom usually (Where the red arrow points)?

It is five digits long.

Great chart. Are you ready to take on the mansion walking distances now? Pretty please! :goodvibes

Great idea, many thanks for all the hard work!! I did some basic 'worst case' distance measurements a while back, and I think I got the longest room-to-foodcourt walk from any section to be a fraction under 500 yards, which ties in exactly with your results.

To turn those numbers into walking times, I think 3 miles an hour is considered a normal walking pace (i.e. 88 yards per minute) or maybe a little less to allow for tourist strolling and being distracted by bunny rabbits. :)

I forget whether you have been to POR before, and so know the various routes? e.g. sometimes it might be closer walk over the bridge and across Ol' Man Island (more with the mansions) and also there are actually three external doorways into the food court (plus one internal).
