I keep checking this thread every 15 minutes to see if any RGR pics have been posted. I am just dying to see the real thing! I'm hoping some of Andre's "contacts" at POR will send him some. He should get first dibs since he does such an awesome job on his Port Orleans website, which I am sure brings in a bunch of new guests. I know it was one of the main reasons I chose POR.

You're probably right. I did find a video of one of the rooms online. I'm wondering if it is a real guest room or just the concept room. I only searched on anything that has been updated in the last 24 hours so I know the video was just recently posted. It is over 2 minutes long and I have never seen it before when I searched on Disney Royal Guest Rooms. Even if it's not the real thing, it shows quite a bit more detail than any previously released concept photos did. I would post a link here, but I'm not sure if that is allowed. If you do an advance search on Google for "disney Royal Guest Rooms" and limit it to anything posted in the last 24 hours, you will find it.

I am lost on disboards. I tried a search for "riverside" and "POR" on the trip report thread for the last six months, but have been unsuccessful at finding one. Can anyone share a link? I'd love to look at the fun others are having in my shoes before I actually go.

We are working on the planning of our next trip. We have stayed at CSR, 6 yrs ago, and CBR last year. We are thinking of trying Riverside next.

I have a few questions about the pool....At CBR I hated the pool. I am not one to actually swim with my kids I would rather sit in a chair, enjoy the sun and keep an eye on them. However, at CBR I felt the pool was not at all visable to those in chairs. You literally had to stand at the pool side to see the kids (no chairs in those areas). How is the pool/child visibility at Riverside?

also, is there free wifi at Riverside now?

Selfishly bumping up my post since is got burried a few pages back. Can anyone help answer some questions about the pool area?

That's the one I found, but I wasn't sure if it was OK to post here. Do you think it's one of the real rooms, or the concept room? My daughter is gonna flip when I show her this video tonight. I love the fiber optic headboards. That was a very nice touch.

So sorry we missed ya, but we are sooooo excited about the RR's.

Wifi was activated last December.

You can check out the photos at Andre's website, but all six pools have chaises adjacent to the pools. At the Main Pool, there is coverage under the trees off to one side. There is also a bar/patio with tables that has a view of the pool (bit farther away), but it has a few steps down if you need to get to someone in a hurry.

On the five quiet pools, there is coverage with open arbors, as well as some umbrellas.

Let me see if I can get it on my smartphone. My work computer is blocked for video.

I am an architect and familiar with "real" versus "concept."

By the angle taken, it is most likely the concept room; because they didn't show any windows. It could very well be the concept room in a warehouse somewhere..... I went back and watched it three times and if you look in the reflection of the mirrors, there are no windows. It appears to be "blacked out" to indicate there would be an open wall behind them. They hid it very well.

However, with the comments posted by the Disney rep, I would dare say it is going to be pretty close to "the room."

I just love the part when the mother and two daughters turn the pillows around to watch the fireworks.

Okay, I am sold; my next trip is another crew that won't be able to afford it, but my solo trip in 2014, I am going for broke and staying in that room for sure.

Two weeks today and we check in!!!! Alot of us there at the same time!!!!!!
Hope to run into some of you while I'm there! I'll be the one with my Nikon camera stuck to my face taking a million photos!!!! Actually last trip was 8000, not a million!

In the first nine seconds of the video, I thought I saw a curtain and a window with light in the mirrors. I'm wondering if they had some cast members with kids do that video in one of the new rooms so they have something to post once they hand over the keys this afternoon.

Is the handover at 3:15p eastern standard time? We are in central standard time.

I had a royal guest room. Family wanted me to switch out preferring the Aligator Bayou area, I concurred. I have kept searching.. ! Anyone interested in a regular Magnolia Bend room, Food and Wine Event in Epcot, and Downtown Disney (like Mickey's Pantry) try this trip report...
