In the first nine seconds of the video, I thought I saw a curtain and a window with light in the mirrors. I'm wondering if they had some cast members with kids do that video in one of the new rooms so they have something to post once they hand over the keys this afternoon.

Is the handover at 3:15p eastern standard time? We are in central standard time.

:confused3

Drats, I can only get it on my Droid and I cannot see the mirrors from that far back; I could only see them when they proceeded to the dressing area.

I had a royal guest room. Family wanted me to switch out preferring the Aligator Bayou area, I concurred. I have kept searching.. ! Anyone interested in a regular Magnolia Bend room, Food and Wine Event in Epcot, and Downtown Disney (like Mickey's Pantry) try this trip report...

Okay, so I am sitting here bored at work; I went through her entire trip report and found a few pictures of the rooms at POR; they are the old decor.

They are already posted over at Andre's website and soon they will be gone anyway.....

There are pictures of the resort (Port Orleans Riverside), pool, downtown disney, the halloween party, and food and wine festival. Just to clarify - absolutely nothing about the royal guest rooms.

You know how you don't want something until you can't have it?!! Ya....that's how I'm feeling about the Royal Rooms right now! Could have had it, didn't want it. All of a sudden Princess Fever has hit my little girl. The tutus go on the second she wakes up. And now that the in-laws are joining us we no longer need an AB room. Today I decide (knowing it's not likely) to go for it and of course there are none to be had! The CM I spoke to said since there weren't any now and we are traveling during FD, there won't be any. While I realize they are full with people who have paid their deposit, isn't is possible that there would be cancellations?

If you look in the bathroom mirror before you hit "play", there is a reflection that looks like sunlight shining in from a window. Maybe this is the "real deal" :goodvibes

ETA: I can also see a reflection on one of the pictures hanging on the wall next to the farthest bed.

The last guests will be leaving the old-style rooms on Saturday I think, after which Parterre Place goes into refurbishment from Sunday for a month.

That's also the last date for availability of the extra roll-away beds by the way, they will be no more after Saturday. I was trying to find the question about them from a week or so back, but the DIS's topic search is still broken.

So excited to see pictures. RIght now we are booked ina standard room (9/15-22) but if I completely fall in love with the Royal rooms, I just might switch.

I am wondering if providing queens and getting rid of the rollaway is similar to the situation with the values getting fridges.

Less storage space for ones not in use, too much labor spent rotating them, etc.

With the lightweight air mattresses with the air pump such a popular option, I would think they would be thrilled to get rid of the rollaways.

The video is definitely in a real POR room, but I'm not sure whether it's the same preview/mockup room that was set up a few months back for the press to see, or a more recent shoot. It looks fairly professional from the camerawork/etc, so I assume it's some sort of press release item from Disney (and I'm betting it'll turn up on the Disney Parks Blog within a day or so).

A direct link to the video playback file is at http://www.viddler.com/player/ff985afd/ if you can't view the blog.

:dance3::banana:45 Min until I leave for WDW, Im all ready and waiting, DH just got home, waiting for my 2 children to get off the bus, then we are gone! :grouphug::cheer2:

So I've been checking this thread all day to see if something is posted. Noticed some people saying RGR is sold out during FD so I went on to WDW and checked random dates in Sept., Oct., Nov. and Dec. and not once does the RGR selection pop up. Could it be that the RGR rooms are totally sold out for the rest of the year? Or did they change the way they are not listed (now under prefered??). I know when I priced out my vacation last month it was listed seperately. Anyone know?? :confused3

RR's won't be available for promos for a long time. Promos are meant to fill rooms. They aren't going to have any trouble with bookings.

Don't expect to see AoA offer promos for awhile either. You cannot just pick and choose where you want to stay with discounts.

MissyTara, I was looking during Oct., Nov. and Dec. as well and there are no promo's out for that time. Plus I didn't click on a promo to book just the regular book a vacation button. I actually went in to my week (between xmas and new year) to see if they were still available and it didn't come up. I figured, ok, just a busy week. Then checked other random weeks in Dec., Nov. Oct. and obviously, Sept. is FD so it won't be available. I'm wondering if they are totally sold out for the year?? I can't seem to find one available for any dates.

I tried this as well a little earlier today and nothing comes up for our dates in October either.

I see that as well (no RR listed). I was pricing these just last week, and they were consistently listed throughout the year. Maybe a glitch in the online system?
