I disappeared for a week, had to get back to the reality once we returned, but I do have some more picts that Andre asked for.

Close up of the washboard on the sink area:

I do want to say that the new counter tops make it hard to be close to the mirror, so any close up makeup job or anything will have to be done on the mirror on the bathroom door.

Hair dryer:

The safe, same as before. For those that havent seen it before, its big enough for a wallet or two, its not real deep.

The same clothes rod area, we asked for many extra hangers.

The AC unit cover, this thing does make it harder for the air to come through, the maintence men offered to take it off, but I liked the look of it and after 24 hours our room temp was better regulated:

Curtain rod, I like the rope look

The fridge, it is new and bigger than the previous ones.

The shelf and fridge area with door closed.

The letters and numbers along the bottom of the murphy bed.

Seriously wanna cry...princess is sick. She started running a fever this afternoon...just thought maybe it was the heat and being over tired. She feels so crappy that she didnt even want to watch the electric parade or the fireworks. I'm hoping that the advil and tylenol works & that she feels better in the morning.

We ARE having fun and I absolutely love this resort! We are definitely coming back next year.

The fountain in Oak is pretty cool looking at night time and you can definitely tell they are working on Parterre Place.

Havent had the chance to see Bob yet but we did take the boat to downtown disney...very nice & relaxing ride.

I wanna thank Andre and the people of this particular thread for all of your wonderful advice...couldnt have done this trip without you....

Now I NEED to try to get some sleep.

HunMcBunny, so sorry about your little girl getting sick. Hoping she is all better tomorrow.

That has happened to us a few times. Now, it is the reason why I always bring a few doses of amox or a z pack.

Anyways...Im sure you know, but you can rotate IB profen and tylenol every 4 hours. I know it stinks and kids usually feel worse at night and in the morning. I hope she is able to break her fever and enjoy the rest of the trip. Try a warm bath in the morning, keep plenty of fluids in her and keep fever reducer with you. Good luck! :flower3:

Aw, what a shame for her (and you of course). I hope she picks up quickly and can start enjoying herself again soon. We've had the same with my DD from time to time, and sometimes it's worth just giving in and having a really quiet day at the resort for her to let her get over it, otherwise it can just drag out for days. We had to do that one Mardi Gras Tuesday I recall; while she was tucked up in bed I had to go to the poolside activities to get her a mask and mardi-gras goodies. It cost me though, the CMs made me do the hula-hoop competition on her behalf - not a pretty sight!

I do hope she feels brighter today, I know how much you've all been looking forward to this trip.

Andre

Thanks guys....while she is still quite warm this morning she is alot perkier. Thank God for rotating tylenol & advil. We are going to EPCOT for a low key day. Just gonna stroll around with her in the stroller.

We are thinking of skipping animal kingdom tomorrow depending on how she's feeling.

Awww...I hope she feels better! We leave Wednesday and this is my biggest fear!!

AK is the largest park and can you swap out with one of the other parks and just do a half day. I like the way kids bounce back!

Does anyone know if they carry flavored coffee creamer cups at the food court? I'd like to be able to make coffee in the room and not buy a whole container of creamer. TIA!

Hi all. We are heading to POR for a few days before our cruise. In order to save on some packing we are going to do laundry our last day at POR. Can the charges go on the KTTW or do we need change? Is detergent available for purchase or should we bring it? And the cost?
Thanks.

Hello everyone!!!

We just booked this morning for Oct 23-30, and staying in the preferred rooms in AB, asked for building 14.

do all the Alligator Bayou rooms have the murphy bed? are there pics of it somewhere on here? (haven't had a chance to go through all 233 pages LMAO)...

we don't really "need" the murphy bed, but it would be a nice option!

Thanks, and looking forward to joining here!!!

I'm not a coffee drinker so I could be wrong, but I think creamer (Half and Half) is only from a dispenser at the beverage station.

No, you can't use your KttW card, you need quarters. $2 per washer load, and a further $2 for drying. Change machines are available at all the laundries. Detergent/etc is available for a dollar per individual portion (currently Tide, Clorox, Ultra-Downy or Bounce) but it'd be cheaper to bring some with you in a little disposable plastic bag - just be prepared to explain a little bag of white powder if you happen to get searched at the airport! :)

By October, yes there will be murphy beds in all of the Alligator Bayou rooms, so being in a Preferred Location you should definitely get one.

The best travel accessory ever are laundry sheets. They have detergent and fabric softener in them, you just drop it in with the wash and transfer it to the dryer with the clothes. Best yet, no powder or liquid to burst in your bag and make a huge mess. I keep a box in my laundry cupboard with my regular laundry detergent and whenever we go on a trip I take a couple and put them in a ziplock bag, so they're also flat and take up almost no space at all.

Hi there.:flower3:
I have booked two rooms (standard right now) for my family of 6 for one night before we head out on a cruise on the Disney Fantasy. I am wondering how do you get all your luggage to the room when you first arrive? I am currently fine with the possibilty of a remote room but I would change my mind if there was a significant distance that I would have to carry all the bags. Do they even offer connecting rooms in Preferred or River view?

If you take Magical Express, they will deliver all your luggage for you. Or, you can always ask bell services for help.

Your bags can be taken to your room. Just leave them with Bell Services when you arrive at the resort, and as soon as you are ready to go to your room they'll bring them over for you. They've even been known to give guests a ride at the same time too.

There are connecting rooms all over the resort, in all room types. The only thing you can't do is connect a King Bed room to another King Room as they are quite spread out.
