I just book for 7 nights in Sept. and free dining. I am so excited we have not stayed at Riverside since it was Dixielanding. We usually stay at FQ because it is smaller, but I wanted to try something different this time. The CM said all rooms will not have Queen beds until the end of the year. I am hoping that are just saying that so people will not be disappointed if they get behind. I am hoping for queen beds.

its getting closer and closer to the March 9th opening of the RR rooms.......I am on pins and needles waiting for more news. I wonder how they are doing?

This is going to be the longest 45 days of my life B4 our vacation. I think I'm more excited than my DD5 if that is possible. My DS is too young to have a clue yet!

So glad you were able to get it. We weren't so lucky. I'm to cheap to pay for a view room. They had garden and river. So we are at CBR. But I'm hoping when the GP offer goes out they will have more rooms so I can go back to POR. Dh thinks it is fine and we should just leave it. But I really wanted POR this trip.

I am booked in a royal guest room. Every time I've been before inluding when it was called Dixie landings, I have ways stayed in the bayou. I prefer the looks and seclusion over the mansions - I think. No one is really set on the royal room at all. I picked it because royal was the only room type that listed queens. Can anyone share their opinions about why either alligator bayou or magnolia mansions are better? Our preferences are Queen beds by september 16, close to the mug refills, and reasonable walking to bus or pool.

As a special request we asked to have a connecting room with another family we will be travelling with. However, I noticed my reservation said adjoining rooms and wanted to clarify if that meant we could open the doors between them. The CM said no. The request would be out in to have rooms beside each other but POR did not have rooms that connect? Is this true? We stayed at CBR two years ago and requested connecting rooms and our request was granted.

:banana::banana: 6 Days!!!!!:banana::banana:

Just read on another thread about coffee makers being changed out from the 4 cup basket type to a cuisinart pod type system! Can anyone confirm whether all the rooms have been changed? I usually bring my own grounds and filters, but if they change the system I will go and by the cuisinart pods!

Can anyone confirm this???:confused3

I think the only way you are gonna find the answer to that is to call POR directly.

Edit: I'm already planning on bringing my own coffee & filters...I hope they dont change to pods....I'm super picky about my coffee.

Its a snowday here...blech! BUT I'm taking advantage of it by re-organizing what I've already packed and packing some more.

Tomorrow Hubster is going in tomorrow for surgery on his torn meniscus....dr said it will be better to do it now because it will just get worst when we are at Disney.

We go to Disney this month!!!!:cool1:

Hope all goes will tomorrow!! Snow day...I'm setting with windows open an it's 71 outside....we have had no winter this year. Maybe a dusting of snow is all.

It depends what room type you booked. We have 2 rooms at POR booked. I REALLY wanted the Royal Rooms. The only RR which connect are Standard and Water not Garden or River views. I don't know about the rest of the resort. We are a family of 7 and we get priority connecting rooms (but nothing is ever guaranteed) I hope this helps :goodvibes You want the request for connecting (not adjoining). Good luck!!!

7 plus all the extra grammies you are taking! :lmao:

Where that that little gem come from? Unless they've bricked up the doorways, I suspect that all categories of RR will have at least some connecting rooms.

And the wording that the OP needs in their booking to request a connecting doorway is CONNECTING rooms rather than just adjoining.

Not entirely true - I booked two Royal Rooms Garden View and the CM said that with only two adults, they can guarantee connecting rooms for us.

I originally booked 1 night..Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back and I was told NO connecting RR. Which caused me concern...

Then just in conversation on another call (I change A LOT) ;) The CM mentioned Standard view connect. So the CM today checked all 4 RR categories for me. That is what I was told, unfortunity no RR Standard with AP discount so I booked Water view. All good, and she did say a pop up message said connecting rooms very limited. Just what I was told, and unfortunately not all CMs have the same info. I did mention the whole connecting/adjoining thing..thanks :flower3:

I was told that too, BUT nothing at WDW is guaranteed. I have never encountered not getting connecting rooms, but others on the boards have. They try their best

I know!!!!!!!!!!! We've had a very weird winter. The last big snowstorm we had was mid Oct. Ever since we've had an inch or 2 here and there but it would quickly change to rain and melt all the snow. Its also been mild too. Its still snowing and has been since noon YESTERDAY :scared1:

I think we may have decided to choose this resort as our disneymoon resort... With a royal room river view :) I hope we made the right decision... We would love to stay at GF but it's so expensive!!

Congrats! Sounds amazing!!

We switched our May reservation to a Royal Room/River View today!! I'm pretty excited to save the money for other things!!

Quick question. We will be getting to Disney in the morning and checking in. I know the room probably wont be ready but can we still use the bus to the park or do we need to drive to the park?
