Okay my fellow stalkers and slot players. When using a reservation and modifying to play the slots are you using “update” or refreshing the top?

It thinks so quick I get the feeling it’s not rechecking for avialibilty.

Recently I was scanning for summer availability for VDH and saw that a garden duo room was available for the 4th of July weekend. However, when I got to the part where you choose the points to use, I found I was just short of points to be able to book it. So I scrambled to one of my other reservations to drop a day from it and then tried to get the 4th of July weekend again, but it was gone. I thought maybe someone else had also seen it or the waitlist monster grabbed it, so I sulked and just kept poking around in other availability. About 15 minutes later, I went back to that room type and was looking at September availability but scrolled the calendar to July and the room was available again!! I'm guessing that it gets caught up in some hold for a bit of time, but then gets released if the reservation isn't scheduled. So, if you are hunting and see a room but then it slips away, check again in a bit because it might pop back up!

I have had this happen. If I start to book something then exit out it holds that room. Ive had it take an hour to come back before.

I can’t believe we got our VGC booking this morning! First time ever trying to book that resort at 7 months.

If anyone does Peloton, Cody does a Guardians ride and he dishes about the songs, about being in Epcot as a Disney adult, etc. No spoilers, but our song preferences do not align.

Separately... I may be playing slots soon because we made plans to go somewhere over Xmas with my dad and it's unclear what he wants to do! He seems to be hinting at Hawaii but he's also said WDW or DL in the past and we do not have DL points. We were at WDW over Thanksgiving in a 1BR for this reason, and while he is a good sport about it, he's in his 80s and it would be better to get a 2br...

Word of caution. Dont play the slots to modify your reservation while half asleep in your bed on your phone. I let go of a night on accident and it's gone now. Not a huge deal since it was a just in case placeholder reservation but lesson learned.

A gripe I have always had... why is it that when you search for a room the amount of boxes you check is different than the booking page? Im honestly surprised I haven't messed this up before now.

I know! I hate that and really don't understand why they don't make it consistent. I have to double check my dates all the time
