We had a wonderful time at WDW. POFQ was wonderful. We had building 3, 2nd floor, rooms 3235 and 3236, connecting rooms. Maid service each day placed my DGD’s Princess dolls, and her Mickey & Minnie’s around. She had them in a group watching TV 1 day and just doing various things throughout the week. Mouse keeping was great this week we had excellent service.

Upon check in, Sept3rd at 4:00 pm, we waited less than a minute to get to a CM. Ours was very nice and upbeat. She explained the dining plan, the layout of the POFQ etc. The hotel was everything we hoped for. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. We were used to a king-size bed, but we had no problems with the double bed. We had 4 in our room, me, my DH, my DMIL and my DGD. My DS and a childhood friend in the other room. I found the room to be spacious enough and enjoyable to be in with the décor. On the days we were in the room more than just sleeping we were not crowded by any means. Plenty of room in the vanity area of the bathroom. The refrigerator was great, the dresser had ample room for clothes as well as the closet area. We enjoyed the pool area, playground and the boat to POR and DTD was great. Bus service was not bad. We waited around 10minutes at the most, except for 1 night at MK after the fireworks, we waited about 20 minutes. One evening coming back from MK our Driver pointed out some deer, and other animals that she had seen on the way to pick us up. The animals were still out and it was really nice to see them and to have someone who obviously knew the area to point them out to us. All of our drivers were super nice and very helpful.

I have dining plan info to give but will have to get it all together. We ate at Whispering Canyon, 50’s Primetime, CRT, Boatwright’s, LeCellier, Teppanyaki, and the HoopdeDoo. I will give complete details on the menu’s later. But the food was great everywhere and yes there was a lot of it.

The 1st day we arrived at Animal Kingdom and our first character meeting was Lilo and Stitch. My DGD was so excited to see Lilo, of course Stitch was another matter. But once she went up to get Lilo’s autograph Stitch was playing around with her hair bow. She quickly began to like Stitch and hugged his neck. Then we went into a store and met a great CM named Cheryl. Cheryl greeted My DGD and asked her if she was having fun. My DGD told her it was her 1st trip and 1st day at WDW. Then DGD asked Cheryl to trade pins with her. After the pin trading, Cheryl took her over by the counter and gave her a magical moment certificate for her 1st visit and 1st pin trading. It made the day start off in a great way. We ate lunch at Tusker House. This was really great counter service and a nice cool place to sit and relax. We had the rotissiere chicken, it was very good.

Just a note for the little ones, It's a Bug's Life really scared my DGD alot. After that show it was really hard to get her to go to other 3-D shows. So if your little one is a little scared of some things, you may want to check this show out by yourself first before taking your little one.

We enjoyed Animal kingdom, But the others were alot more fun.

Day 2 brought us to MGM Disney Studios and the Rock N Roller Coaster, or as I heard 1 person say "I want to ride Aerosmith again". This park was great. We started out with Beauty and the Beast show. Wow.... what can I say it's Beauty and the Beast. My DMIL and DGD enjoyed this show so much. Actually we all did. Then we proceeded to Muppets, The Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney. DGD really got into Playhouse, as I knew she would. Many characters were available all over the park and it was just a pleasant day. We ate lunch at the Backlot express, nice place to cool down as well and food was good. Dinner was at 50's Primetime. The food here was wonderful and Aunt Sue was our waitress. My DH got in trouble for elbows on the table. DGD and DS loved this.

I will post the other days later in part 2.

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip - glad to hear such great things about the POFQ. I can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip. :goodvibes

Thanks we did have a great trip. I wish you all the best for your Honeymoon there and for your future marriage. my DH and I will celebrate 30 yrs in Feb. We may just have to go back to WDW for that.
