Is there enough room for a full size crib in the refurbed rooms? Thanks!

There should be ample space in the vanity/washroom area, which is also handy as you can pull the curtain across at night to help her sleep while the adults are still moving about.

We didn't have to move the table and chairs to fit a twin mattress. It fit OK between the bed and door, and we propped it against the connecting door during the day.

The only bedding we brought was a fitted sheet. We asked housekeeping for the rest of the bedding.

Good to know. I was worried about where we will put a pack n play for DS20mths.

Hi!
We are a family of five and our youngest is 2 and sleeps in a crib. We'll be staying at POFQ next month, and considering renting a full size wooden crib for our daughter (she's tall and we're worried she'll be cramped in the pack and play. Is there enough room for a full size crib in the refurbed rooms? Thanks!

Where will you rent from? That would be lovely. I don't understand why WDW only has pack n plays. We stay at Hiltons a lot and they always have a portable crib. Much better! Maybe renting one would be worthwhile.

Thanks for the response , Andre! Do you think there's enough room for the crib in the main room area too? I'm not sure if DD would be okay sleeping apart from us.

To the pp that asked about where we're renting the crib from, it's called A Baby's Best Friend. They deliver to your hotel and the wooden crib sets up in minutes. The price is nor bad either, I think $60 for the week.

Very likely be fine elsewhere too, depending on the assembled size. You don't HAVE to close the curtain of course, you could leave it open and then it's all one room.

I love these boards!! Always guranteed to get a helpful response! Thanks again, Andre. Love your website too, BTW.

I am beginning to get really excited about our trip! :yay: We leave on October 11 for 9 nights at POFQ. We were really hoping for a RO discount, but we'll be paying rack rate as our dates are blacked out both for FD and RO. We're Canadian, but the Canadian RO discount also doesn't cover part of our dates and there was no availability at POFQ for the dates that are covered, ugh. Never thought we'd pay rack rate in October, but I guess the times are changing with discounts.:sad1:

Now here's my next question, with three young kids, (ages 2, 5, 7) which building should we request? Also, does main floor make most sense so it's easier with the stroller? Or will we hear a lot of noise from the people above us?

The preference of floor is up to you. Yes, you can sometimes get some noise from the people in the room above, so if you are on the top floor then you ARE the people above. That said, it's not usually too much of an issue unless they have bought their pet elephant and a football team with them - which I do think sometimes happens! :) There are elevators in all of the POFQ buildings, but they are centrally located so are not always at the closest point to your room. Personally, I think I'd go for the ground floor for the convenience and easy access for the pool, etc.

For the best access to the buses and food court, I'd suggest building 4. Next best (and a little closer to the pool) is 5. Building 6 is also nice. However it really is a very compact resort, and even in the furthest buildings it really isn't that long a trek - well, other than those nights after a long day at the parks, when even stepping over the sidewalk from the bus is a long trek.

Shhh... booked flights a few weeks ago, but the kids still think we are driving-LOL (16 hrs!!) We're celebrating the twins' 12th birthdays in the MK and I'm beside myself with excitement!!!!:banana:

Hope you love it as much as we do! I fell in love at first sight. The buildings are beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous. I cannot wait to go back. June '12! :dance3:

That's the way I feel! And to think I was going to book CSR since I thought it was the only resort with queen sized beds to fit my king sized DH (6'6"!!) Thankfully a sweet CM, "Cindy Lou", with an equally tall DH, informed me in April POFQ was going to fit our bill!!

We just got back from POFQ... and we loved it.

I can't think of any complaints... Food was decent (what does one expect for QS...), transportation was great (never waited more than 15 mins for a bus, most times it was about 5), at either the resort or the parks (not even after MNSSHP).

We only took advantage of the nightly movie on the lawn once, but it was very nice to be able to do so when needed.

Our DD loved the pool (and the gecko's, lol). The 'smallness' of the resort was great and we really enjoyed the boat to DTD.

If we go moderate for our next trip (sadly, quite a few years into the future) we will be staying here again.

We HIGHLY recommend.

Well I just got home from our trip. Other than the ME problems and some Delta problems, everything was great. We were in room 3119, building 3. Never heard our neighbors, room was clean, and all CMs were very nice.

I did try the beignets and though the beignets tasted ok, it really isn't like a beignet you would get at Cafe Du Monde.

Our longest wait for a bus was 15 minutes, longest wait for an attraction/ride 10 minutes, and for an ADR once we checked in 20 minutes.

What a fabulous time to go.

From one of the largest resorts to the smallest, no doubt you will enjoy that for sure...

I think you'd need to move the table and chairs a bit, but probably, yes. Otherwise, what about beside the bed, behind the door?

Andre

Thanks. Not a big fan of moving the table and chairs, would like to be able to use them. Will try behind the door.

mommy2mrb, maybe I can do a test run with the chair in your room when we do the carriage ride in Oct?

8 days until our very 1st stay at POFQ! Reading this thread has got me really excited!:cheer2::yay::woohoo:
