On the reverse trip it goes DTD, POFQ, POR, So i'm sure you could get on a boat on the return trip and go to POR. I believe, hopefully someone can confirm that for you!

Andre has already answered your question, but I just wanted to add that if you feel like a stroll, the walk between the 2 resorts is beautiful :)

Just a few last minute things to do around the house....Then....We are off to the airport! I am so excited, I could't sleep last night!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Am i right in telling my friends, that you can use a counter service credit, from the DDS, and have pizza delivered to the room ( or collect it) when in resort. Think they might like to have a chill out one night and watch the movie and eat pizza.:banana:

You can but it would be a tad ridiculous. It is about a 5 minute walk between the two, or about a 5 minute boatride. However, between waiting for the boat, boarding the boat and diembarking, the 5-minute boat ride would probably take about 10-20 minutes. And, when you get to POR, they WILL make you get off, and wait in line to get back on.

We liked the idea of the boat to DTD....until we tried it, and waited over an hour for it. The boat would show up from POR with room for exactly 4 people from POFQ. So, even though there were only about 12 people waiting when we got there, we had to wait like 4 boats. WE considered getting on the boat and getting off again at POR, but there was also apparantly a big line at POR as well, and again they make everyone get off at the end. From when we left our hotel room at POFQ to when we arrived for dinner @ DTD, was almost 2 hours.:scared1: Still makes me mad as you can probably tell. A different evening I wanted to go to DTD for AC, I took the bus. Took 15 minutes by bus.

So, I guess what I'm saying is, if you get to the boat dock, and there is any line at all, and the first boat gets there and you can't get on it, take the bus to DTD, and then take the boat back. (The boat ride itself is quite nice.)

Hmmm... this does not sound very good. :sad2: Is this the typical experience for those wishing to ride the boat from POFQ to DTD??? Or is it an exception? We are going two weeks before Easter so if at busy times this is the way it is I will heed skier pete's advice and only use the boat for the return trip! :thumbsup2 Any other experiences, similar or different, are welcome!

thx, Sydnerella's Mama

Suddenly dawned on me today how close our trip is. Looking forward to it. Still got to get a costume for me though....

We went August 20-27 this year. Yes it is hot but it was manageable for us. Just be prepared for rain every afternoon (lasted about an hour or so), keep hydrated, take breaks and you will be fine.

Just got back last Saturday from a week at POFQ. Stayed there before, and with the room refurb's it is so much better.

The good so far room was ready when we got here at 10:30 AM and no wait times at MK. The room is nice and clean.

The bad is ME did not pick up my sister's suitcase. So my sister spent 3 hours with the luggage folks trying to find it. Once it was located she told them she would get it in the morning since it was so late. Well the luggage folks decided to deliver it when it got here at 1 AM. Not happy with being woken up.

The manager did give my sister a night shirt and a toothbrush to help out, whic she is grateful.

Other than that, we are glad to be here.

Have a great trip! Excited to hear about your stay! We still have 364 days left and I am not sure how to make the time go by any faster! ;)

From others I have read the following...was it just their bad luck or true statements ?

From a mid-June 2011 stay at POFQ - Downtown buses, had to wait 30 minutes before one arrived ! - Is that normal ?

A July visitor wrote: The food court has great variety but closes too early. What time does the POFQ food court close in the evening ?

Another July visitor in Building #5 wrote: Mousekeeping was not good.Hit or miss with mousekeeping ?

And another guest who was in Building 7 wrote: The room was not cleaned when we arrive, i.e. dirty clothes in the dresser drawer. Maid service requested before noon everyday-never happened. Dead flies on air conditioner, they stayed there during our entire stay.

An early September guests said the new beds are too hard and so are the pillows. Do you think they just wanted feather fluffy pillows and a very soft mattress ?

Can anyone tell me what toiletries are provided in the rooms and what they are like? 71 days to go!
