Ah, I think I've fixed the problem. Ideally I needed to have shot a second batch of images angled slightly upward to fix the perspective issue, but I've pretty much dealt with it via software I think. Square things look a bit 'squarer' now anyway. :)

I'm now happier with the second version, even if it's not quite as good as the POR one.

Andre

It looks great Andre. I can't tell if the ceiling fan is still there, same with the POR pic. They haven't removed the fans have they?

looks like you have a wonderful dinner Kathy! did you go to Disneyland at all :confused3

No, we did not. We had been at a conference at a church in Sun Valley Thursday through Sunday and had reservations at a Bed and Breakfast on Coronado (San Diego Area) for Monday and Tuesday. Sunday evening was our only free time to squeeze in that wonderful dining experience at Napa Rose. The way things are laid out at Disneyland we did have to go through security in order to walk through Downtown Disney and again as we left the Grand Californian after dinner.

We chose to go to the San Diego Zoo rather than Disneyland because we expected cooler weather there. But we got stuck with a heat wave and that zoo is not fun at about 100 degrees! :scared1: We were constantly getting lost among the trails at the zoo. It made us really appreciate how well WDW is laid out.

sorry you didn't get to go to DLR....SD zoo is fun though, hilly too as I remember, we went to SD for our honeymoon over New Years, so no hot weather for us!

I just bought our plane tickets and booked Magical Express! I can't wait! I have wanted to stay in POFQ for sooo long and it is finally happening :) Last time we stayed at CSR because nothing was available at POFQ, and while we loved CSR, I can't wait to try POFQ :D This will be my longest Disney vacation yet! A full week!

We used a twin (same as a single-- maybe it has a different name in the UK?) air mattress at POFQ for 10 nights last month. It fit well between the bed and door, and we propped it against the wall during the day.

My dh had the mattress and pump in a small duffle for his carry-on so it didn't take luggage space or weigh down our checked luggage. We brought a fitted sheet from home, and got the rest of the bedding from mousekeeping.

We did the same thing last January. I think we moved the table and chairs a bit, but it was not a problem at all. I wouldn't pay for a cot. It's much cheaper to bring an air mattress. We shipped ours to the resort, but we ship everything and only fly with carry-ons.

We used to have a pretty decent air mattress from Wal-Mart that had a self-contained pump. You would plug it in and turn the dial and the bed would fill with air. It cost about $40. DD and her friends killed it during a slumber party, but it did work well for Disney.

OK, so what are your opinions about the best building for a Riverview room?
I have RV booked.. not king.. just regular..
There will be no kids, and will not have a car.. The walk to the main building/bus stop isn't an issue, so distance doesn't matter..
We've been here before a few times. but I wondered if I am missing anything by nor requesting a certain building? :confused3

Thanks!

Traci :thumbsup2

Traci, I think any building will be fine. I've been in 5 and 6 on the river and they were both great.

Yayyyyy! We love many Disney resorts - POFQ is our favorite!

Just booked pofq for 4 nights in march. We just got back from BC and loved it but too $$ to go back again. Hope we made a good choice in a moderate resort.

I'm about to do a split stay at BC and POFQ so I'm looking forward to compare the different levels (did ASMu on my last stay).

I am so excited. We check in tomorrow! So at this time tomorrow we will be at MK! Now where should we eat lunch at MK? For lunch it will be CS. So, please let me know what your favorite CS is at MK.

Hi Taylor, while we will be in Disney on Monday, we won't get to the Magic Kingdom until Wednesday. Our favorite CS is Pecos Bill; however, we have not yet eaten at Columbia Harbour House. Enjoy!

We ate at Pecos Bill's back in December. I like your suggestion of Columbia Harbour House. We haven't eaten there either. We tend to end up at eating in Fantasyland so we can watch people get on the boats in IASW.

Columbia Harbour House is my favorite. Have a great time!!! A few more weeks for me..

Wow, there are a lot of posts in this thread, lol. Anyway, I have a question about the resort since I will be staying there for the first time in November. I would look through the other posts, but that might take forever.:rotfl:
Ok, so what are the boats like to Downtown Disney? Do they go to both the Marketplace and West Side? Any details would help me out. Thanks!

Have a great time! I can't wait to try the new lobster rolls at Columbia Harvest next month!

I used the ferry saturday and the boat driver said it only dropped PO folks off at the Marketplace.
