Okay just realized that MK has EMH that morning and opens at 8. So buses will be running by 7am right? (We've never done the early morning EMH lol too early for us!) So we shouldn't have any problem getting there in plenty of time.

they run that early most days. We were waiting for a DHS bus for AM EMH and saw three MK buses before the DHS bus arrived.

We are enjoying a few nights at POFQ before going to YC and I have't researched POFQ a whole lot. But noticed there are various pools between POFQ and POR. Which is best for tween age and what foodcourt do you like for late night snack or breakfast? THanks

My kids (teen and tween) like the pool at POR better than the pool at POFQ.

You might want to look at the food court menus to see which you'd like better.

Thanks Kelly I didn't even realiuze these two resorts were so seperate. I will check out the menus but I am assuming counter service is pretty much counter service anyway you cut it! I was over on the dedicated port orleans site and can't really find any pics of the POR pool....do you know of a link?

I love the beignets for breakfast at the POFQ. Go to the first page of this thread find the link to the unofficial site then click on riverside. This site has good information about both places.

This site (it's not mine) has some of the best POR pool photos, but the pool curves in a manner that it's hard to photograph it in one picture.

Andre your website is great I love all your pictures :thumbsup2

I've bought a special panoramic head for my tripod which should make Panoramas much easier to shoot next time, so expect a bunch more once I get back at the start of September. I'm also taking a wide angle lens, which I've wanted to for ages for the parks, but it should also be good for room and resort photos.

Still here at POFQ! We are having a ball! Everything has been wonderful. The buses are have been great. Everyone at the resort has been wonderful! DS, who is not a good swimmer, is having a blast at the pool, the waterside is just right for him! I have tons of pics, I will post them when I get home!

:rotfl:I'm going to be at BC with family before I get to POFQ, I was thinking I might have to hoarde some of the tolietries from there and schlep them over to my solo stay. I have to have the seperate conditioner 2n1's just don't work for me, and I've been told the body wash is pretty cool.

Absolutely!!! Bring the H2O+ toiletries from the BC to POFQ they are awesome!!! I would never use a 2in1 either. :woohoo:

Quick question re: pizza

I remember a couple of years ago being able to use two CS credits to order a pizza and getting two drinks and two dessert with it, but I think this was when we stayed at POP. Does anyone know if this is a thing of the past and if POFQ does or ever did this?

TIA!

From what I have read from recent posts, POFQ still has pizzas and the 2011 Disney Dining Plan states that the same deal you mentioned above is available at all values and mods!:flower3:

Thanks for keeping us posted - it's so nice to read about other guest experiences while we are waiting for our vacations. Enjoy.

Can't wait to see the pics!

I think my family has finally ironed POFQ down as our resort for this Nov/Dec. I was really, really gunning for a deluxe to spoil dh but he says he'd rather save $$. I think this is a good compromise.

What's your favorite building to stay in and why? Any tips, tricks, insider info, etc. for someone who had never even heard of this resort a few weeks ago? We're going with two under 5 and want to get dh off for a golf day as well as some downtime/relax time.

Thx!

I've been an avid Disboards stalker since planning our first trip in 2009 but haven't made many posts. We just booked our second trip to FQ for April 20-27 2012 and I'm stalking this thread yet again! We did a split Poly/POFQ in Feb of this year and we fell in love with both. We're trying to do a budget trip this time so no deluxe. The obvious choice was the French Quarter (we've been to New Orleans many times since my parents met at LSU and I'm an avid Tigers fan!). We were lucky enough to book a garden view with the military discount and will only be going to the parks 4 days with a military ticket. The past trip was very much a commando trip and we didn't get to enjoy the hotel enough, so I'm hoping to make up for it next year. It will be surprise trip for my then 7 yo DD and 4 yo DS, basically picking them up from school early and saying "We're going to DISNEY WORLD!!!". Wish this compulsory planner luck in keeping it under wraps!
