I'm glad you had such a great time! I love your pictures! :goodvibes It's about five months until my next trip - I can't wait!!! The pic's help! :lmao:

Our room was right next to the stairs, but it was seriously very quiet.

I forgot I took a picture of the hair dryer:

Never tried it because I brought my own.

Do you remember what the watts are for the POFQ blowdryer ?
The one i use at home is 1875 watts, Conair Quiet Blow dryer.
I have thick hair and a blow dryer is a must for me.
Thank you !

Addtional Info:
I found on the sunbeam hospitality website - Green Sense products....
1632-020 Sunbeam® Global EconoMizer™ Hair Dryer
or
1632-040 Sunbeam® Global EconoMizer™ Hair Dryer
Both only have 2 settings 1200 and 1500 :(

I just snapped the picture and used mine that I brought from home. I have thick hair as well, which is why I asked before leaving. I used a similar hair dryer when at a Hampton Inn recently (it looks like the same model) and it took me longer than usual there to dry my hair (and it was in Halifax...so the humidity didn't really play as much of a factor.)

ETA: looks like most are 1500 watts http://www.householdappliance.com/sunbeam_wall_mount_hair_dryer.html

Oh no you should havbe tried it - now we still don't know if it was any good :lmao: Thanks for the pic. At least they look nicer than the old ones!

I know the fridges don't have freezer compartments, so I can't bring my ice trays that make ice for water bottlesI used them at at Pop in the past when we did a fridge swap, but I won't be able to do that this time.

Since we're going in August we wanted to bring some water with us in the morning...Will the fridges keep everything really cold?

Some of them will freeze items. We were at PORS a few years ago and just stuck our hand in to make sure the fridge was on when we entered the room that morning. We then placed my mom's insulin in there and went off to the parks. That night when she took it out, it was partially frozen. Apparently whoever had that room before us had turned it as low as it would go. It was our fault though for being in a hurry and not checking it.

The one night we came back and the movie was going on and we couldn't hear anything from our room.

Thanks for the pics. Do you happen to remember what time the movies started at POFQ, as a couple of people have asked?

Is the bottom of the POFQ pool rough...enough to want to wear water shoes? One more week!!! :dance3: (I apologize if this went through twice. I tried a couple of hours ago and I don't see my post.)

never even thought about wearing them. Now sometimes in the summer the deck can be quite hot so they might be useful.

Which building is best if you want to be pretty close to the pool?

Bldg 5 or 2 would be the best IMHO

The pool at POFQ has a smooth bottom and we did not wear water shoes. I highly suggest wearing some sort of shoes to the pool as the concrete gets very hotttt

A friend is there now & she watched Monsters, Inc last night. :) She said it started at 8:30. Not sure if the time will change based on the season...

Thanks for that. 8.30 sounds like a sensible time for an evening movie to start, after the kids have eaten but not too late for vacation bedtime. I have the June schedule on my portorleans.org website now if anyone wants it - POFQ June Movie Schedule. Should be Gnomeo and Juliet on Friday.
