Hope y'all have a great time and the rain stops. I want that mickey throw!! Can you find out how long they'll be on sale? ;)

I LOVED seeing this picture! You see, I am an Interior Designer, so I got a chuckle out of this and yelled "Presentation Board!".

Yea, I'm an odd one!

Thanks for the pics!

Yes, I thought it was really interesting. It is hanging up on the wall outside of the Food Court.

Of course, I will try to remember to ask-it may be while supplies last type of thing, but I will ask if there is an end date. When is your next trip?

Did you happen to notice if building 3 has started refurb yet? It's the one next to the shop, but in the opposite direction to your building so you may not have braved the weather to get that far yet.

Have a great time, and just ignore those pesky little (OK, big!) raindrops. Just think of it as an all-day walk-in shower! :)

Can i ask looking at the pictures the rooms seem to be over 2 or 3 floors and stairs or is there a hidden lift

.We are not going to next year but on booking have requested a ground floor as ds is a wheelchair user and in block 5 To save his arms or mine when he is to tired to self propel
.Not wanting a Disabled room as these often have just a king size bed and obvioulsy is set up height wise for a disabled adult not a very small child . Which is no good for me and two Dc.And ds prefers a bath and at 7 i can hoof him in quite easily still .

I had to switch my days in May around and decided to Upgrade from the pop century to POFQ!!!!!!!! :cool1: I'd been debating a value or mod for my !st Solo trip ever and dinally made the plunge. I read the many post and now I;m super excited. Yes as you can guess from my tag i'm from the great state of Louisiana and am staying at the french quarter--so no snarky comments...lol. It just looks so peaceful and cool looking.

57 more days to go. Wahoo!!:banana::banana:

What are your dates? We will be there 5/23-5/29.

Architect here; I was thrilled when I saw that as well.

Last year, I walked into the gift shop and saw the rolling duffle bag; and did the mantra - must have rollling duffle bag, must have rolling duffle bag.

Okay, now, must have Mickey throw, must have Mickey throw.

They are in my favorite colors!

When we were there in November, I asked about seeing a completed refurbed room (they were just getting under way at that point) and I was taken "backstage" to see this presentation board instead. I was not allowed to take a picture or write down notes so when I came back here and posted what I saw, I was trying to rely on my memory. I guess the board is in a public place now.

Since the headboards were for full size beds and they now have queen beds, do you think they will eventually change them out, like they did at Coronado Springs to fit the mattress. I must say I think it really distracts from the beauty of the new rooms.

In the Presentation Board photo they seem to fit the mattress.

With the way Disney pays attention to detail, I am sure they will eventually get headboards to fit the matress.

Where can I find photos of the refurbished rooms? :confused3

Also, which building would you recommend to request?

During our first trip to POFQ, we did not make any room requests and ended up on a first floor facing the parking lot, which was kind of a bummer. We did not mind the first floor, just the view. I'd love to stay in a room that is located a little more "within" the theming of the resort for our upcoming trip this August.

Thanks!:)

The rooms facing the parking lot are standard rooms. Book something other than standard and you will get a room facing the interior of the resort.

I would think so too. I know when they rehabbed the Polynesian rooms the headboards were late coming in and were added after the rooms were finished.

I'll be there May 25-June 1st. I think DIS really needs to come up with a 12 step program for us! I'm being to feel like a disney stalker, checking out the boards everyday :rotfl:

I'm the same way! We will be in WDW in May, but we aren't staying that trip at FQ, we are at WL. That's my dh's dream hotel, and we got a good deal on Club level, so we're doing that this trip. Is it bad that I am a little longing for FQ again? We are still thinking to do a short trip the first weekend in October for F&W, and for that I am INSISTING we do FQ!

We are visiting in May of this year. Will these refurbishments affect the overall look of the resort? I hear it's such a beautiful property and it would be a shame to have construction work ruining the view. Not that I'm complaining. We picked this resort for the atmosphere so I was just curious.
