Yes. POR will be next, starting this summer, I think.

The FQ upgrade/refurb will be completely finished before Easter.

Quick question...we will be staying at POFQ april 2-7 (hoping to add one more day!) as I understand they will be starting refurbing building 3 while we are there. Do they put guests in a building that they are working on at the same time?

When we were there in November, they were working on Building 7. (We were in Building 6.) People were most definitely occupying some of the rooms while the other rooms were being refurbed. I don't think I would have been too happy about that.

We just got back from FQ on Monday and what a wonderful resort! I did not make any special requests. I was a little nervous about this due to all that I have read here. My DH and I checked in at 6:30p and we were in Building 1. It is the farthest away but it is not a long walk to the boat dock or the main building. I don't think it took more than 5 minutes.

Our room was great. We had a corner room which gave us 2 windows. We had a king size bed and alot of space in the room.

It was nice to take the boat to Downtown Disney. In addition, it was nice being close to the Quickserve restaurant. I was completely turned away from CBR due to having to take a bus to get to the main building.

The resort was working on remodeling Building 2.

If my DH and I go by ourselves again ( without the kids) we will go back!!

What buildings are finished with rehab, which are left and what is the schedule for completion?

Building 2 is currently in progress and almost complete, and the final building (3) should start rehab next week. The whole resort should all completed by easter.

Yes, POFQ is quite smaller than POR.

In the past, none of the pool bars accepted it. Perhaps we can ask Scat Cat's for a plastic cup before leaving there?

Thanks for your patience! As you can see from my ticker, my trip is on the horizon. I requested a refurbed room when I made my original ressie-but you know how that goes sometimes!

Thanks for your patience! As you can see from my ticker, my trip is on the horizon. I requested a refurbed room when I made my original ressie-but you know how that goes sometimes!

They were working on building 2 when I left on Monday. 3 isn't done. I requested 6, was assigned 3, and asked for a refurbished room, any building/any floor, and was given an upgrade to building 6 on the ground floor which worked out great!

Don't be afraid to ask if you don't get what you want The sweet talking helped too and Amanda checked us in so hope for her, she was awesome and very friendly!!!! She even called the room after we were in to make sure everything was okay and we stopped by the lobby to thank her on the way to dinner!

Where can I find photos of the refurbished rooms?

Also, which building would you recommend to request?

During our first trip to POFQ, we did not make any room requests and ended up on a first floor facing the parking lot, which was kind of a bummer. We did not mind the first floor, just the view. I'd love to stay in a room that is located a little more "within" the theming of the resort for our upcoming trip this August.
