I will be staying at POFQ in a few weeks  We have not stayed at that resort in a long time.

My question is, What has changed? Is the Food court any better/worse. From what I remember they had several counters and you paid at each counter.

Thanks.

We just stayed there in December and absolutely loved it!!! After the renevation it is awesome...everything is so new and shiny!!!! About the food court....I don't know how it was set up before but now there are many food counters to choose from and then you pay all at one register....I mean there is more than one register but, you can get food from all the counters and pay at one. There is also a cold case with drinks like juice and things and fruit and cheese plates, prepackaged sandwiches and salads. All the food we ate in the food court was very good....we ate breakfast there everyday. It is a smaller food court than most which I happened to like as it was never really busy. You will have a great time at this resort....it's beautiful. :wave2:

I stayed there in 1999 and I can't really remember the food court back then, but we were just there in May and you get items from many different "stations," but pay at one register. So you do have to wait in different lines if you want foods that aren't in the same area, but you pay all together.

Loved, loved, loved our stay at POFQ in February. Everything was so beautiful. The food court is set so that you get different foods from different stations but pay at one register. The food was good, better than what we ate last year at Caribbean Beach. Enjoy your stay. Remember to take some time to just walk around the resort and enjoy the beauty of it all.

You will love POFQ, I will agree with the above post concerning the food court. It is good. We are going back in July and can't wait.

The biggest difference in it is no sit dow service meals. Food court is great. Also the pool is awesome and just the whole mardi gras atmosphere. It is our favorite but we are giving AKL a chance in a couple of days! :cool1: :earsgirl: :Pinkbounc :rotfl:

If you eat at the food court is that considered counter service? What is the limit of food you can "snag"

I will be traveling with 3 ravenous teenagers! :earseek:

I can't wait I'm going to be at POFQ June 15-24!!! Anyway I think it is going to be great!

I started a post about this but no one has replied! Well anyway does anyone know if all the buildings have elevators or just stairs at POFQ? If anyone knows that would be great!

I love POFQ. This will be my third time to Disney and I can't bring myself to try another hotel.

With that said, the food court lacks big time at certain times of day. You do still pay at one of several counters. I just don't think the food is that good. The food court at POR is somewhat better.

The food court is fine for a cheese burger and great for drinks during the day, but beyond that....

I guess my biggest problem is late night. Not a lot of choice later on in the evening after coming back from parks and even if there are just 5 or 6 people that want food, the staff seems overwhelmed. I also think it would be nice if you could refill your mugs until at least 2 a.m. (I'm not sure when they close, but it seems early and also, they close one side of the place where you get drinks so you can only refill at one station).

I love the hotel so much that I just look at the food situation as a minor annoyance. If me and dh get hungry enough later on we'll just go to DTD.
